Anyone at this match?

Only Mile Jedinak. He was centre half for both teams.

On the slim chance anyone wants to go, Bromsgrove are playing a memorial game for Thomas Jones who died recently. He played for Bromsgrove at junior levels. The game is at the Vic on the 16th October, 7.45KO against RAF FC.

This is about Tom

Next Saturday  is national non-league day.  Have been looking at various matches close to me.  Never been to Salford City (have seen them away which  is bad  enough).   Most clubs are offering reduced admission, the class  of 92 don't extend  that far.

Don't go there. Give your money to a club that needs it.

If you location of Bootle is still correct then I can recommend some great grounds in your area. Bootle FC, Prescot Cables and Marine are all good, as is Cammell Laird which is especially great because you can have a pre-match pint in the Cammell Laird Social Club if you are in any way a Half Man Half Buscuit fan.
Further down the pyramid there's South Liverpool, Maghull and Ashville (who play at Villa Park).
Slightly further afield but still worth a visit are Southport, Burscough and both Runcorn clubs (Town and Linnets).
 Need any more?

I would head for Southport due to the fact Peter Withe and Shaun Teale both played for them.

Been Southport a few times.  Its  still really a league ground.   Hate the way  they have segregated the stands.

Hednesford 2 South Shields 1 yesterday. Graham Fenton co-manager of Shields.Interesting managerial technique - sweary bawling -out of his substituted winger as he came off who then smashed the window at the rear of the dug out and sulked for the rest of the game. A long coach trip home - I suspect  they weren't sitting together.
