Someone on SHA suggesting Mr Crowley by Ozzy Osbourne screams "Birmingham" and should be played at Blues games, he getting shot down by others  because he is "Aston". I love the fact they play Crazy Train at Villa Park since 2016.
Half of Ocean Colour Scene is Villa - bass, drummer and Steve Craddock.   Lead singers of the Twang and Napalm Death too. They go on about Jeff Lynne and all their working class Brummie celeb fans but even in that dept we outnumber them.  They like to think of HRH, David Cameron and Tom Hanks as symptomatic of our "non Brummie upper class support." Blues and their myths!

How they continue to pedal this non Brummie fan base nonsense is beyond me.  Do they really believe the shit they trot out?

I can't recall the last time I met a Blues fan anywhere.  I similarly can't recall the last time I see anyone wearing a Blues shirt in Birmingham city centre.  They're just an utter irrelevance; a shit club, with a shit ground, and shit fans, that nobody else in the country could give a shit about.

There are a good many ex-pat Brummies here and in the thirty-odd years I've lived here I have only ever met three.  One is dead, the other I haven't seen for years and the third eventually saw the light.

I worked with that lad, he was young and came from Kings Heath, he told me he was a Blues fan, I sympathised.  He moved on and I didn't encounter him for a good few years until I met him in Dublin at the friendly we played against Shamrock Rovers.

He was there with his son and after the initial how are you's I said to him 'I thought you were a Nose' he denied ever saying it.  I gave him a knowing smile.  I met him again a fortnight ago and he told me he's heading over for the Wolves game.  I'd love to know when he had his Damascus moment.

It's because they all live here in Dawlish. Aint that a bit ironic, living outside of the city and all that.

That reminds me of the time Tom Ross was doing the post match phone in and was bemoaning with the blue nose caller Manure fans from Birmingham and telling them to get back to Manchester.  Before wishing the caller a safe trip back to Colwyn Bay.

Smaller (but great) bands with Villa lead singers:

The Clause
The Novus
Ivory Mondays... I mean Ivory Wave
Riscas
Spilt Milk Society

Check them out on YouTube!

Their other games thread is basically a Villa match thread. One bloke saying how spawny and lucky we  are but rightly several others are saying how can we be lucky we when we keep getting goals disallowed. And we scored between the start and end of a match so saying we jammy is again pretty pathetic says one Blue who lives in the real world.

Supposedly footage now emerging of Blues fans assaulting female stewards at Leeds.

Sad if true. I should add Iíve not seen footage but that is what WM are reporting.

I love it when they argue with each other about us. The reasonable ones v the ones who just have blind hatred towards us. Today they are still arguing over whether we were "dead jammy" to be taken over or whether it was a case of us being "a big club with potential ripe for a takeover". Anyone taking the latter standpoint gets shot down for being a closet viler. They are also arguing between themselves over whether our late winner today was jammy or whether a goal scored at any time is as valid as any other. The ones who say fair play to any side scoring a late winner then get criticised for sticking up for 'The Vile'.
