"Birmingham City statement said the club had "every sympathy" for the plight of Coventry and their supporters.

The Blues' statement added: "We always felt it important to try and help and support our neighbours, as part of the wider footballing family in this region, however we could."

Or in other words, we need any income we can get.

Taking the moral high ground is a new one for them.

If Blose get drawn away to Coventry in the cup does that mean the home fans will have to sit in the away end?

AFAIK Coventry would be the home side so sha would be in the away end, however as the home side Cov would decide ticket allocations etc. So they could give sha any part of the ground.

And if it went to a replay would they swap back again?

Yes but the half a dozen who will turn up could sit anywhere.

Fair play to them. It was nice of them to take Gardner off our hands.

They also regularly gave us 6 points. Such a nice lot the noses.

Both clubs should stop playing hard to get, just merge and get on with it.  They might even fill the Sty then as well.

Nah.

Get their mates from Sandwell and hey presto: Birmingham and Coventry Albion FC play in navy, royal and sky blue stripes.

Just merge Small Heath and Coventry into the A45 Blues. Their combined average support still wouldn't fill Villa Park.

I wonder which one of them will "Be Back" in the top flight first. I won't have a bet on either of them as I would probably be dead before it was time to cash in my winnings.

If they can both hold on until global warming really kicks in, and sea levels rise a few metres, they've got a chance.

Imagine if Coventry improve massively and Blues stutter to the extent that Coventry crowds are better than them. How would they spin that one?
