The Lions are my team.  I've lived in Detroit for 16 years now and follow all the teams here.  The Lions (NFL), Tigers (baseball), Red Wings (Hockey), and the Pistons (basketball).

Its amazing the difference that Jim Leyland has made to the Tigers. Very similar to the affect that MON is having on the Tigers. Taking basically the same group of players from mediocrity to contention.

agreed.  Although, several of the key players missed large chunks of the season last year, which didn't help.  Leyland really has turned the team around though.  The players are having fun, and the fans are loving it.  Almost every game is a sellout.  When you play an average of 5 games in two weeks, and they all sell out, you know the team is doing well.

I became a Cowboys fan when I was about 13-14. I think it was the cheerleaders and a young girl named Debbie that led me in that direction

not good, he broke his arm in the 3rd game.  He's a pot smokin' lazy mofo who's going to regret not using his talent and taking the game seriously later on in life.  oh well.

T.O had a huge game yesterday with one whole catch for 6 yards.

Plus Mike Vanderjagt missed 2 field goals from 30-odd yards. Hopefully that will change once the real action begins otherwise it's looking dodgy already for Bill Parcells and the Boys.

Coach Parcells said the following about the infamous "liquered up kicker's" groin injury / kicking woes ....

Quote
"I can't draw a conclusion from the information I've got," he said. "I could speculate, as anybody could, and I'm sure people would, but that doesn't mean I would be accurate in that speculation so I would choose not to do that."

Ya what,  Bill ?????    :-k

My Raiders are now 0 & 2 and looking totally crap.

What was Al thinking when he brought in a guy to coach who's been out of the game for a decade ?

I saw some great football on my recent USA trip.

I was at the Bills @ Patriots game that the Pats one with a "Safety".

I was also at the Boston College double overtime win over Clemson

Go Eagles (BC that is not Philly !!)

Breaking news on ESPN and other US sports channels.

Dallas Cowboys wide-receiver Terrell Owens (better known as just "T.O.") is reported to have attempted suicide yesterday.

..... but T.O.'s denying it.

So the options are......

1) T.O. did try to kill himself

2) The Dallas police are mistaken / lying

3) It was all a publicity stunt.

Answers on a postcard please to Mr W Parcells, Irvine, Texas

Always been a Raiders fan.  Marcus Allen rocked!

I used to play for Tamworth Trojans too back in the '80s
