I've always wondered why the NFL doesn't run the option as much as it is used in the NCAA

That's a cue to post video of the Stanford Band Play

Didn’t Florida in college football have a last minute play a few years back when they must have passed it about 30 times.

Possible spoiler alert

It's official:-

Bears can clinch the NFC North with win over the Packers.

Not sure if that would mathematically end the Packers hopes too though.

What a play by the Phins to beat the Cheatriots.

That type of play must work one time out of a hundred
Which makes it all the sweeter that it was against that lot.

Wilbon tweeted last night; "the Monsters are back".

I think that's getting ahead a tad

This is the best D we have had since at least Urlacher/Briggs/Tilman etc, and we made the Super Bowl with that lot. Fuck it, I'm getting excited.

I wouldn't be too disheartened Bears fans. Probably overachieved at this stage in the teams development.

Next year the team and Trubisky will be better, and Chicago will be genuine contenders.

Not necessarily.  Everyone said that about the Vikings and Jags last season.

You have to take your chances when you get them.

It's a pretty young team so I'm not too despondent. Was pleased with how Trubisky held up under pressure. Nobody expects him to be the new Dan Marino but it would be nice if we could actually have some stability at the QB position. Have some tricky looking games next season, though: Cowboys, Chiefs, Chargers, Saints, Rams, and the bloody Eagles again! Plus, I expect Green Bay to be back competing for the division title again next season. Not so sure about the Vikings/Lions, will see what they do in the off-season.

My biggest concern is our ability to turn close games into wins. Our five defeats this season were in overtime, twice, by a point, by a yard, and by a point/post/crossbar. You don't expect to win all of those sort of games, but a genuine top team should win more than they lose.

Both the NFC games were tighter and more exciting so it's a shame they were the later ones in the UK. I was 2-2 with my predictions, called Colts and Chargers but thought Bears and Hawks would win.

Next round I'm going for Colts, Pats, Saints, Rams.
