No Heaton, Jack or Engels
-
Hmmm, the Grealish injury is a worry.
Come on you Villa boys!
-
Scrap that 2-3 prediction I said a couple days back... scrap it!!!
-

-
Don’t mind the starting XI given the injuries. That bench is not particularly inspiring though.
-
What exactly the fuck is up with Jack?
Another innocuous looking injury keeping him our for weeks again?
#worriedandconcerned
-
Looks like Wolves are going back to 3-5-2.
-
I'll take a point on seeing that team.
Come on you Villa boys!
-
No Heaton, Grealish or Engels, do i not like that!
Wolves bang at full strength too!
I am dreading the weeks of abuse I am going to endure living in Wolverhampton following this!
-
Removes myself from social media
-
We have to prove we can win without Jack in the team.
-
When is Jota gonna be available? Our slight knocks always seem to mean at least a month out.
-
Fucking hell that’s some serious losses.
-
When is Jota gonna be available? Our slight knocks always seem to mean at least a month out.
Surprised he hasn't made the bench, was back in full training this week given what was posted on social media.
-
Also as a sidenote why is Chester making the bench ahead of Hause?
Hause has looked so good in the League Cup games, what if Konsa or Mings is injured early on. Chester who has been injured for 10 months being thrown on in a heated 100mph local derby. Such a strange risk.
Hause must be questioning his absence from Premier League squads himself.
-
I’ll be delighted with a draw.
-
Uh oh, I fear the worst. How has Jack gone from being almost OK for the Liverpool game, to still being injured a week later?
-
Uh oh, I fear the worst. How has Jack gone from being almost OK for the Liverpool game, to still being injured a week later?
Maybe it was the injury that kept Jack out of international setup
-
I'm not looking forward to seeing Matt Targett up against Traore. Far too slow and defending is questionable. For all Taylor's attacking limits, he can at least defend.
-
Our slight knocks always seem to mean at least a month out.
Smith mollycoddling again. These days a little graze to the shin for these candy cotton players is minimum 4 weeks out.
-
Of course the villa wolves preview is all about Liverpool v Man City
-
I don’t feel so good
-
Of course the villa wolves preview is all about Liverpool v Man City
Unbelievable Jeff
-

You don't think he would have been desperate for Jack to play today?
-
Come on Ezri. You've done the business once against them this season.
As for JG he's got to be back for Newcastle surely?
-
With those injuries we will do well to cope and if we do cope you can guarantee VAR will come along and save the dingles
-
That is not a strong team.
-
I thought Smith said on Friday everyone was ok apart from Jack and Jota? Why no Hause in the squad at all? There must be something in that ?
-
I though Smith said on Friday everyone was ok apart from Jack and Jota? Why no Hause in the squad at all? There must be something in that ?
The first XI is OK. If we have any injuries during the game though then we have problems.
-
Oh well I don't need to turn the telly back on until 2. It's all about the game of the century.
-
I though Smith said on Friday everyone was ok apart from Jack and Jota? Why no Hause in the squad at all? There must be something in that ?
Smith kidology
-
I'm very grateful to Chester and his service to the club over the years, but surely Hause should be in the Squad ahead of him?
-
He has had a hernia op its one thing training and another being match fit.
-
Blimey! No Heaton. Injured? Chester preferred to Hause? He was poor for the U23s earlier this week.
-
I though Smith said on Friday everyone was ok apart from Jack and Jota? Why no Hause in the squad at all? There must be something in that ?
Smith kidology
I think I read he was recovering from mumps.
-

Yes , after the Wolves game , the very least he deserved was to be in the squad for Liverpool game.
-
Of course the villa wolves preview is all about Liverpool v Man City
That's just what I've been cursing. Our coverage was supposed to start at 1300. I hope redscouse get a mauling today fwiw.
-
Can’t get my head around the Hause thing. Played well in the cups, barely been on the bench in the league. He should be ahead of Taylor and he can’t even get on the bench with Engels out.
-
Maybe Sky could arrange for our game to be postponed so they can spend the next three hours talking about Liverpool and Citeh.
-
Heaton? Ffs.
-
Maybe Sky could arrange for our game to be postponed so they can spend the next three hours talking about Liverpool and Citeh.
My thoughts exactly, were so selfish
-
Could have done with a full strength team today. We really need at least a point from this - the bottom of the table is starting to look uncomfortable
-
Wolves have been pretty much full strength all season. And haven't done as well as their fans were hoping.
We can beat these.
-
Sky are a fucking disgrace. I couldn't give a rats arse about Liverpool v Man City.
-
Big chance for Konsa today, Engels form has wobbled a bit of late. That aside our bench looks worryingly weak on quality.
-
Sky are a fucking disgrace. I couldn't give a rats arse about Liverpool v Man City.
They'll probably delay the start to allow sourness to finish his sentence
I was going to correct the predictive spelling, but thought it was probably right
-
Sky are a fucking disgrace. I couldn't give a rats arse about Liverpool v Man City.
Absolutely. The problem is all the plastics lap it up and that's who they cater for.
-
Sky have just realised our kick off is in 15 minutes and have decided to swith to us.
-
Ooh they have said they will cover us after the adverts. Who are we kidding, it will be the lineups and team entrances.
-
Come on you villa boys.
-
Sky have just realised our kick off is in 15 minutes and have decided to swith to us.
But how will they fit in BET 365, Deliveroo, and another 10 mins of Liverpool and Citeh?
-
Sky have just realised our kick off is in 15 minutes and have decided to swith to us.
Yes, Sky at it's worst IMO.
-
Engels and Heaton both had knocks in training and aren't 100%. I seem to recall Kodjia broke his cheekbone in training!
-
Imagine how galling is for the other plastic Mancha over here having their pre macht dominated by citeh v scouse
-
8 mins to kick off and Sty Sports have switched to our game for 3 mins and now gone to a break!!!!
-
They are only putting our game on for 75 mins then they are switching back to the studio to watch Keane glare at Mourinho for 15 mins (plus added time) before going into the Liverpool dressing room to see the players oil up and get all slippery......
More tea vicar...
-
I'm looking forward to our reserves smashing their first team at the custard bowl.
-
Traore goes past Targett like he wasn’t there. Not for the only time this game I suspect.
-
Nakamba playing well so far.
-
Wolves hit the top of the bar
-
Steer down injured
-
Oh shit. Steer fucked.
-
Shit, Steer looks buggered.
-
FFS Nyland coming on.
-
We are having some fucking luck this season, aren't we?
-
Nyland coming on
-
It’s NEELAND not fucking NOOLAND
-
Bugger. Nyland the back up. Things just getting worse
-
Oh no, Nyland.
Well, good luck young man.
-
So Nyland it is. Chance for him to step up but I have my doubts.
-
Nyland to do a Spink and have a blinder.
-
FFS this is a baaed start.
As an aside we need Trez and Anwar to be more responsible.
-
Seriously what the fuck is going on?
What even happened to Steer?
-
Worst start possible. Shit.
-
Good job we’ve got 10 keepers !
Call sarkic back he’s been awesome in Scotland on loan
-
Guilbert and Targett looking far from confident so far. Early days, I know.
-
Nyland to do a Spink and have a blinder.
Think I’d rather have the 61 year old Spink.
-
Think I'd take a draw now.
-
At the moment Adama has Targett completely beat.
-
We look terrible.
-
Ref spot on.
-
Awful from Trezeguet.
-
Has Targett actually come out of the changing room yet? Adama has him in his pocket
-
Really careless on ball so far.
-
Kind of game where flakey players on the wings is going to cost us.
-
We look terrible.
Men and boys so far. Grealish would have made a massive difference in this game.
-
Fucking hell Targett, woeful.
-
I'd happily take 0-0.
-
Trezeguet is such a brainless player.
-
Got away with it a bit there
-
Awful
-
Do your fucking defensive job AEG.
-
El Ghazi is a luxury player.
-
Targett, Trez and El Ghazi need to get a grip.
-
Clueless
-
Targett is having a tough time.
-
Wesley got called up to the Brazil squad?!
What on earth.. I'm going to find my boots in the garage.
-
Targett, Trez and El Ghazi need to get a grip.
Yep. If they don’t, we’ll never hear the end of this.
Our best player so far imo has been big Wes!
-
You're not going to win games when players think it's ok to trot back and leave it to others.
-
Far too easy for them at the moment.
-
It’s like a crossing and shooting drill for them. Pathetic.
-
Come on lets have some optimism.
A long range shot from McGinn or Luiz will do.
Show them what we can do.
-
Targett, Trez and El Ghazi need to get a grip.
Yep. If they don’t, we’ll never hear the end of this.
Our best player so far imo has been big Wes!
Doug has been good too
-
Villa look laboured. Guilbert doesn't look fit.
-
We are half a team without Grealish.
-
We’ve subbed a goalie, not had a man sent off, sort it the fuck out.
-
Agree on both counts. Wesley is doing his bit at least. One off his on games would be nice.
-
Targett is having a tough time.
Awful, really looks short of pace and presence
-
It's like one of those attack v defence training drills
-
Wolves are working much harder.
-
This is awful
-
Try passing to another fucking Villa player.
-
El Ghazi is a frustrating one for me. I remember him last year away at the Baggies and Middlesbrough. He looked unplayable. We need that version back.
Come on Villa! More intensity, please.
-
El Ghazi, what the actual fuck was that?
-
We give the ball away so much it's infuriating.
-
Targett and Trezeget may as well not be fucking playing. It’s so easy down their right.
-
FFS Nakamba
-
Oh fuck off. Luxury player? That's one word for him.
-
WTF was that from AEG?! Traore looks a much improved player to the version we had.
-
How much did Targett cost, £12m? Doesn’t look like money well spent.
-
Nakamba booked
-
Work fucking harder wingers.
-
If it carries on like this, I’d sub both trez and El ghazi at HT, and shore up that midfield with Lansbury and Hourihane. Not working at all currently. Game plan needs a radical overhaul.
Fred and targett getting steamrollered on the wings
-
Thus far a great demo of why we are just outside the relegation places
-
El Ghazi, what the actual fuck was that?
That's not the version I want to see. Garbage
-
Well this is the sort of performance which makes you worry if there will be three teams worse than us in the league. Shoddy in possession, no fluidity at all and we're playing right into their hands by letting them overload us out wide and run at us at pace. Two on a booking as well. This is only going to end one way unless Deano changes it.
-
Oh fuck off. Luxury player? That's one word for him.
Pretty sure that's two.
-
We’re very very lucky not to be out of this game.
-
This is tragic
-
Take Targett off now, having an absolute disaster.
-
We're all over the place so far. I know it's not exactly our strongest 11 but we look like a bunch of strangers.
-
Pathetic so far.
-
This isn't much fun to watch.
-
He only just got booked on my stream
-
No closing down, standing off them.
Mistake after mistake.
-
We look awful
-
This is fuckin gash.
-
Take Targett off now, having an absolute disaster.
So you want Taylor on?
Risso and Taylor sitting in a tree.
-
Oh fuck off. Luxury player? That's one word for him.
Luxury suggests valuable and great some of the time. Not our El Ghazi that, is it? Woeful.
-
Would like to see Mcginn or Luiz or someone grab this game by the scruff of the neck.
-
I also like the principle of trying to play out from goal kicks but if we don't have a structure to support it, we just have to whack it forward under pressure come the second pass.
-
We nearly did a goal.
-
On this evidence its extraordinary we are still in the game, we need half time.
-
McGrath instagrammed before the game saying 'Be yourselves today lads. #utv'
With the possible exceptions of McGinn and Mings, 'be yourselves' is not the team talk this group of players needs.
-
Take Targett off now, having an absolute disaster.
So you want Taylor on?
Risso and Taylor sitting in a tree.
Just take him off, fresh air wouldn’t put up any less resistance.
-
They’re so much sharper than us.
-
Shot on target!
-
Two of Trezeguet's first touches today have been among the best I've ever seen.
-
We’re very very lucky not to be out of this game.
Yes, we should thank our lucky stars that they're nowhere near as good as they think they are.
-
Riot act at half time required.
-
Targett and Guilbert are being left woefully exposed by Trez and AEG who aren't covering back and neither are they doing anything in attack either.
Surely this is standard training ground work?
-
"it's a loose ball from Targett" is becoming the most heard phrase in this game.
-
We’re so fucking telegraphed. There’s no movement.
-
Targett is dreadful
-
AEG is a lazy bastard. Never tracks back.
-
They’re so much sharper than us.
Technically they are a lot better. The players they have bought all have the ability to control, move and pass without much delay. However they did and continue to do it with the Mendes link they get in really good players.
-
Has to be our worst half an hour of the season so far.
-
Well so far in the final third we’ve done the square root of absolutely fuck all.
-
VAR checking Wolves pen claim
-
Got the ball. It'll probably be given.
-
Luiz has been a complete passenger too.
Only positive for me is Konsa so far
-
Here we go...
-
Never ever a penalty.
-
Matt Targett for me was the oddest of the summer signings given what we all thought the type of players Dean Smith was after. He’s a decent back up full back, he gets forward but I don’t really get how he is a PL footballer. That’s an area we have to invest in again.
-
VAR says no pen.
-
Luiz has been a complete passenger too.
Only positive for me is Konsa so far
Yep he’s been poor.
-
I'll eat my wife and TV if that's given.
-
There is absolutely no cohesion to our play. We just don't retain possession and always look likely to give the ball away cheaply. Not good.
-

Physically he doesn't seem up to it. Reminds me of Nicky Shorey !
-
Andy Townsend summed it up about 10 minutes ago - Villa sloppy and second best all over the pitch
-
1 shot and no corners tells the story so far
-
Dreadful.
-
I'll eat my wife and TV if that's given.
Presume she was well up for it to be given then?
-
There is absolutely no cohesion to our play. We just don't retain possession and always look likely to give the ball away cheaply. Not good.
McGinn, Nakamba and Luiz just not working together in possession.
-
Andy Townsend summed it up about 10 minutes ago - Villa sloppy and second best all over the pitch
Probably third, the referee hasn't done much wrong.
-
Mings takes out Adama, yellow.
-
If our meaningful pass success percentage is more than 25% I’d be amazed.
-
Dreadful so far. Not sure how our hit and hope is going to work when Wesley so outnumbered up front and Luiz has barely touched the ball.
-
Mings, Nakamba and Freddy on yellows is a bit of a worry.
-
Don't stand waving your fucking arms Wes - get on with it
-
1 down
-
We can barely string two passes together and keep giving them 30 yards of space to run at us. Hence the bookings. We won't finish with 11 men on the match. If anyone was wondering how important Jack was to us then this is the proof. Absolutely shite.
-
Fully deserved, no one picks up Neves.
-
1-0 obviously been coming. Completely asleep.
-
Time to clean the bathroom. We'll be hammered now.
-
Had to get to half time and failed.
-
Garbage.
Fuck off
-
Hardly a surprise we’ve been utter shite
-
There you go. I said goal the minute it was cut back.
-
Brain dead this lot.
-
Fully deserved that's this game over.
-
Leave their best striker of the ball unmarked....school boys
-
It was only a matter of time.
-
Not fucking good enough.
Just nowhere near fucking good enough.
-
That’s the game, because we’ve been fucking gash.
-
It’s been coming. Cant say they don’t deserve it either.
We’ll see if Smith is worth his salt at HT now.
-
It's a shame we only have three subs.
-
It was bound to happen.
-
Been coming for 40 minutes.
-
Fuckin' brainless.
-
What exactly was the game plan here Dean?
-
Make no mistake this is a relegation level performance. No threat going forward and looking likely to concede at every attack. Shockingly bad. Wolves could be 3-4 up and they are not having to do anything special.
-
So far from good enough it's untrue.
It's all very well playing well for bits of matches but that's just not enough.
-
Smith is going to have to earn his money second half as this has been a truly woeful first half.
-
We look like a plucky lower league team out there. Wolves quicker, fitter, stronger, just better really.
Grealish a far bigger miss today than last week as I feared. Plenty of space behind Wolves midfield but we've got no one to drift between the lines.
-
Jota not booked for that? Moaning little shite.
-
Have to say, that was a great strike
-
We look a complete rabble out there, no marking on their best shooter outside the box....
-
Luiz did well to get his head out of the way rather than trying to defend.
-
Half time was a bridge to far, clearly, not sure what Smith is going to do about this because this could be embarrassing playing like this in the 2nd half.
-
Smith better get smart or angry because these lads either need a coherent strategy or a hard kick up the arse. Personally I'd say both.
-
The shitness of our squad revealed..we look like a championship team.
-
Our first 11 can stay up no problem.
Despite all the money spent we haven't got the depth particularly in the final third.
-
Dean Smith has been completely out coached by Nuno. We aren’t even in the game.
-
That was a foul.
-
So far from good enough it's untrue.
It's all very well playing well for bits of matches but that's just not enough.
I’d take 30 seconds of playing well in this game.
-
Fucking sick to death of seeing el Ghazi and Trez rolling around like they have been shot.
-
El ghazi faking injury
-
Leaving one of the best strikers of the ball at range unmarked in that manner is absolutely criminal.
-
Dean Smith has been completely out coached by Nuno. We aren’t even in the game.
More down to the players for me, pretty much all outfield players have been wank this half.
-
A final result of 4-0 is starting to look optimistic from our point of view.
-
If Smith does not change this then we are in deep shit.
-
Dean Smith has been completely out coached by Nuno. We aren’t even in the game.
More down to the players for me, pretty much all outfield players have been wank this half.
Talent is what it is.. but seriously what the hell was the gameplan today?
-
We just can't cope with their 3-5-2 particularly as Jota drops off Jimenez and floats to link up with midfield.
Problem with wide players is they don't get on the ball they're passengers and we then get outnumbered out wide and in central midfield.
We had the right idea last month but Grealish injury has scuppered that, also Jota being out at the same time.
-
Our season so far, apart from a few anomalies, has been valiant performances against good teams and no points, and shit performances against everyone else, and no points.
-
For me this has comfortably been our worst half of the season. Never looked like we're in the game, or even capable of being in the game.
Targett crocked.
-
And our previous manager who was meant to be shit has found a way to get wins vs Man U, Spurs away, Bournemouth and West Ham. Three of those teams that we lost against. This isn’t very good at all. Close gets you fuck all in this league.
-
The shitness of our squad revealed..we look like a championship team.
I tend to agree, but a decent championship team would show some real desire.
-
Just when you think it couldn’t get any worse 🙄
-
Woohoo, Neil Taylor everybody!
-
This has been our worst half this season. Pathetic.
-
Dean Smith has been completely out coached by Nuno. We aren’t even in the game.
More down to the players for me, pretty much all outfield players have been wank this half.
Talent is what it is.. but seriously what the hell was the gameplan today?
It'll be interesting what changes at half time.
Based on games thus far, I don't think he'll change anything.
-
Targett has been a total liability.
-
For me this has comfortably been our worst half of the season. Never looked like we're in the game, or even capable of being in the game.
Targett crocked.
Don’t worry. Neil Taylor can fill in. FFS
-
Targett and Guilbert are being left woefully exposed by Trez and AEG who aren't covering back and neither are they doing anything in attack either.
Surely this is standard training ground work?
Neither wingers are good enough at this level. That’s why Wesley looks so poor. He is playing on his own
-
I don't want to be cynical, but can't help wondering how bad Targett's injury really is.
-
Smith must have driven under a ladder and run over a black cat.
-
Dean Smith has been completely out coached by Nuno. We aren’t even in the game.
More down to the players for me, pretty much all outfield players have been wank this half.
Yes, but what's our game plan? Our pre-game strategy? Lump it up to Wes? Really? That's what it looks like.
-
Two useless wingers. Why?
-
Wolves are a good team though.
I imagine everyone is now realising that was actually a youth team they put out v us in the cup.
With Targett going off we can only make one attacking change in second half now so very limited options.
Would be amazed if we get a point out of us particularly as we have a few on yellows aswell. Not good.
-

Based on games thus far, I don't think he'll change anything.
I agree.
I just think its strange that everyone out there is having a nightmare.. not a single player is up to par today.
Has Dean put them in the best position to win or succeed?
-
Terrible squad and imbalanced first 11. January is massive.
-
El ghazi faking injury
He's faking being a footballer. He's got the haircut, full kit, fancy boots but he's fucking useless.
-
HT
-
Two useless wingers. Why?
Who spend most of their time rolling around on the floor like they've just been shot.
Blatant cheats the pair of them.
-
I don't want to be cynical, but can't help wondering how bad Targett's injury really is.
+1....I'm more than a bit cynical myself
I'd have brought Elmo in ahead of Taylor for a bit of leadership if nothing else
-
With one sub left there is zero chance we are making a change any time soon imo.
-
Two useless wingers. Why?
Who else would you play out there? Grealish and seemingly Jota both injured, Kodjia barely played this season.
As was the case on final day of the window we badly lack proven options in the final third.
-
Absolutely dreadful. Fuck knows how it’s only 1.
-
Embarrassing villa, you useless fucks.
Sort it out Dean.
-
This will be an easy Wolves win. We just don’t have the quality to beat this lot. We are huffing and puffing and chasing the ball. We will be knackered and they know it. Expect a goal or two more late on. Watch as Adama tears Taylor multiple new holes.
-
I don't want to be cynical, but can't help wondering how bad Targett's injury really is.
+1....I'm more than a bit cynical myself
I'd have brought Elmo in ahead of Taylor for a bit of leadership if nothing else
Concussion apparently.
-
An improvement is required 2nd half...
-
We are shaping up for a long relegation battle.
-
The only positive is that somehow it's only 1-0.
-
An improvement is required 2nd half...
;D
-
I’d get Lansbury on at HT, but he won’t as he’ll need that final sub in case of any further injuries.
We have to suffer El ghazi and Trez for the 2nd half, with an extra side of Neil Taylor!
This could be a really bad day at the office
-
Wolves are a good team though.
I imagine everyone is now realising that was actually a youth team they put out v us in the cup.
With Targett going off we can only make one attacking change in second half now so very limited options.
Would be amazed if we get a point out of us particularly as we have a few on yellows aswell. Not good.
They are good. But we have been disgracefully poor. We’ve made it so easy for them. Agree there’s no chance we’re getting anything from this game.
-
Is there a number below zero? That would give a rating to our attacking threat.
El Ghazi and Trezeguet have been utterly pathetic in their defensive work too.
-
What an awful first half. we are playing like the players have only just met each other. Despite that, Wolves only had soft efforts on goal, apart from the free kick, which was terribly naive from Villa. More effort required, more belief that we can score goals, more movement, better ball retention required second half.
-
It’s not been great. The 3 injuries in key positions were massive losses. And the 2 injuries in the first half mean we’ve little chance of switching style and personnel.
That being said Dean needs to be getting into them at half time.
-
Need to see more of SJM 2nd half
-
Right! We've had our crap half. Now for our good one.
The bathroom can wait!
-
Well totally outplayed with the only positive just being 1 down. Still a glimmer of hope.
-
We don’t have the squad to cope with these injuries, but doesn’t help that we’ve played very badly as well. Can’t see where a goal is going to come from if we carry on like this, and you can guarantee that Taylor will give them a few gifts in the second half
-
Wesley, Trez, El Ghazi have been terrible.
Everyone else poor. With Taylor on now, I'm worried this will be a 2nd half embarrassment.
-
Smith has to use the one sub left and shore up the midfield.
Lansbury for Al Ghazi and go 4 4 1 some hope
-
Can't see how we're getting back into this at all.
-
I don't want to be cynical, but can't help wondering how bad Targett's injury really is.
+1....I'm more than a bit cynical myself
I'd have brought Elmo in ahead of Taylor for a bit of leadership if nothing else
Targett is the new Nicky Shorey.
-
Wolves are a good team though.
Relatively speaking, I don't care how good wolves are at the moment. This effort, gameplan and execution couldn't compete against a third division side.
-
Wonder if we'd have gone 3-5-2 if Engels had been fit. Probably not as we didn't change formation before.
After last few weeks of promise DS has gone back to being naive today although the injuries haven't really helped.
Any team looking to stay up needs their first 11 out there most games to get results and we simply don't today. Let's hope we have them all back for Newcastle and the following games otherwise we will have a long winless run.
-
Wesley, Trez, El Ghazi have been terrible.
Everyone else poor. With Taylor on now, I'm worried this will be a 2nd half embarrassment.
To be fair he can’t be any worse than Targett was.
-
Smith has to use the one sub left and shore up the midfield.
Lansbury for Al Ghazi and go 4 4 1 some hope
441?
-
That's that then, 1 useless half, we need a goal, best thing Smith can do is search on Amazon see if he can get one delivered on prime, can't see anywhere else a goal is coming from.
-
How Wesley is a full Brazil international is one of life’s great mysteries
-
Smith has to use the one sub left and shore up the midfield.
Lansbury for Al Ghazi and go 4 4 1 some hope
Have we already had a player sent off then?
-
why has this team started aimlessly whacking the ball forward?
It’s something that we seem to be doing more and more often.
-
All them Egyptians flooding our social media raving about how Trezeguet is the greatest thing since sliced bread, you can bugger off now. Dreadful dreadful half.
-
Taylor vs Traore.
Not sure I can put myself through this! 😬
-
This is a team who have given up. Spineless performance at moment.
-
I don't want to be cynical, but can't help wondering how bad Targett's injury really is.
+1....I'm more than a bit cynical myself
I'd have brought Elmo in ahead of Taylor for a bit of leadership if nothing else
Concussion apparently.
I thought it was whiplash from turning his head too quickly as Traore went past him yet again.
-
I don't want to be cynical, but can't help wondering how bad Targett's injury really is.
+1....I'm more than a bit cynical myself
Think you're both talking shite, tbh. Concussed players have to go off.
-

They are good. But we have been disgracefully poor. We’ve made it so easy for them. Agree there’s no chance we’re getting anything from this game.
We would not be this poor if Jack was in. He'd be floating around their back 3, picking up space, running at them, winning free kicks and corners.
Ultimately I don't think it's too dramatic to say a bottom six standard side is going to miss one of the better creative players in this division. Particularly as our other forward players are still pretty unproven at this level.
-
This team is just as bad as Southampton, Watford and Norwich. Players like El Ghazi will be the reason why we're not far from the bottom 3 all season.
-
Dean and JT better be throwing water coolers in that locker room.
-
Need to see more of SJM 2nd half
It’s evidence of our brainlessness that we haven’t got him into the game.
Games this must make him scratch his head about why he’s wasting his time with the likes of AEG.
-
Play like that in the second half and it could be embarrassing.
They are far better than we are.
-
Need to see more of SJM 2nd half
He's done this best. Tried to get forward but like everyone else needs Grealish for it all to click. He can't do it all on his own. I actually think Nakamba has been the best of a very average lot, made some good interceptions although way it's gone he'll probably get himself sent off in second.
-
Desperately poor. They need to come out and play with some fire and pride. They don’t even look like they’re trying.
-
Smith has to use the one sub left and shore up the midfield.
Lansbury for Al Ghazi and go 4 4 1 some hope
Have we already had a player sent off then?
Watch this space. Do you not know that ChicagoLion is a soothsayer?
-
Smith has to use the one sub left and shore up the midfield.
Lansbury for Al Ghazi and go 4 4 1 some hope
441?
It’s like playing with 10 men
-

Yes at least Nakamba has tried.
-
Nobody's played well. Luiz is a huge disappointment so far too given the reputation he arrived with. I can't work out what sort of midfielder he is. Nakamba is having is worst game for us, Konsa and Mings were reasonable until the latter decided to clean out Traore.
The full backs were atrocious but also completely outnumbered and constantly had players with 30 yards of room running at them. That is really difficult to defend against. I feel like Targett gave up in the end. The coaching team must know how Wolves play, yet we have ourselves up to encourage all their strengths.
El Ghazi isn't shit but he is horribly inconsistent. Today is one of his bad days. Trez improved a bit. Poor Wesley stands no chance. McGinn never in it.
Lumping crosses in from halfway inside their half seems our only attacking ploy too. I can't see anything other than a very comfortable win for the Dogheads second half. Naff.
-
How Wesley is a full Brazil international is one of life’s great mysteries
Wes hasn't been great but he's feeding off scraps. What have Trezeguet and El Ghazi contributed. They can't even be bothered to carry out their defensive jobs. Dean Smith has really got a job on his hands here.
-
Nakamba Wesley and SJM probably the only players with any credit whatsoever.
-
This team is just as bad as Southampton, Watford and Norwich. Players like El Ghazi will be the reason why we're not far from the bottom 3 all season.
We're better than Norwich. Think the game a few weeks ago showed that.
Xmas period is going to be massive, probably season shaping. Just need to hang onto in there and try to pick up the odd win before that period.
Having Engels, Grealish and Heaton back for Newcastle would help massively.
-
Our midfield three are too far away from each other because of the system that Wolves play. We are more concerned about them than we are about imposing our own game on them. Unforced errors, giving the ball away. I'm not sure I've seen a worse half from Villa this season. We can't get any worse.
-
If el ghazi is anywhere the team after January we’re fucked.
-
We are doing a Fulham, aren't we?
-
Nakamba and Guilbert are running their heart out and McGinn is trying, I see everyone else jogging about like a practise match.
-
Nakamba Wesley and SJM probably the only players with any credit whatsoever.
I wouldn't give any of them above a 4 atm. None of them should be happy or content with their performance.
Wes literally offers nothing, hes like Rudy Gestede with a limp.
-
Targett had a shocker that half. Looks like he just gave up in the end.
-
Fiver on at 20/1. Stranger things have happened
-
Smith has to use the one sub left and shore up the midfield.
Lansbury for Al Ghazi and go 4 4 1 some hope
441?
It’s like playing with 10 men
That attempt at a save was Nylandesque.

-
The thing is if you’re not going to do anything defensively you’ve got to be brilliant in the attacking third, Trez and AEG haven’t even reached the dizzy heights of poor.
-
Damage limitation now. Cant risk anymore injuries or suspensions.
-
I can’t remember a first half as bad as that since the relegation season.
So many poor or none performances all over the pitch.
Wesley is truly awful. Luis ducked for their goal. Marvellous awful and the less said about our wingers. I wasn’t worried before but I am now.
-

'We can' t get any worse.' Famous last words.......
-

It's a problem with 4-3-3. Our 3 have been too narrow trying to nulify Moutinho and Neves. Add in AEG and Trez going back to completely useless and means our full backs get exposed and we get tunnelled in.
As much as DS is wedded to 4-3-3/4-2-3-1 or whatever sometimes changing a formation for the odd game isn't the worst idea in the world.
Pretty sure a few teams this season have played 3 at the back to match Wolves and got a result because of it.
-
I thought Nakamba took one for the team with his booking
-
Did not one player or member of the coaching staff think 'ooh, hang on a minute. Neves, who's quite fucking proficient from 30 yards out, is currently 30 yards out with not a Villa player within 15 yards of him?' Christ sake. It's not like he's not done that before a dozen fucking times for the dogheads.
Dean needs to think of a different system. Playing 4-3-3, if your widemen are as inconsistent and striker as ineffectual as ours are, then you're asking for trouble. One reason our form improved when Grealish was pushed up there was because he's composed and affects the game. Trez an AEG are far too similar playing both is pointless. The odds of one having a good game is 1 in 4. Both at the same time? Buy a lottery ticket and you'll get better odds.
Luiz has been poor too. Hourihane should have started. He has a bit of composure and can make things happen, particularly at set pieces (the few we've had, we've wasted).
We need 2-3 in january if we're gonna stay up.
-
I thought Nakamba took one for the team with his booking
He got skinned.
-
Massively disappointed in Luiz ducking out the way of Neves shot.
Sums up how limp we've been as a team. Unless that attitude changes, we've got no chance.
-
We've been shite but there are reasons. I was more worried in August when we weren't looking great or scoring much with our full strength team.
Oh and the last day of the transfer window when we neglected to get in another attacking player. Games like today show that as wrong decision.
-
This team is just as bad as Southampton, Watford and Norwich. Players like El Ghazi will be the reason why we're not far from the bottom 3 all season.
Today yes, he's utterly useless. Though last game v Liverpool I thought he was excellent. From the off today we looked like a set of players feeling very sorry for themselves.
-
With the inability to change much as only 1 sub left, i'm not overly confident for this half.
-
2nd half we just have to go for it, throw everything at them, at least get the point.
-
If this doesn’t finish 3 or 4-0 I’ll be amazed. Fucking try Villa.
-
I don’t blame Wesley at all for that performance. It’s like blaming nyland for the goal.
He’s dropped off more than he should have to and he’s had sod all service from midfield.
-
Your first half summing up is pretty much bang on. The shape isn't right and the attitude isn't good enough.
-
This team is just as bad as Southampton, Watford and Norwich. Players like El Ghazi will be the reason why we're not far from the bottom 3 all season.
Today yes, he's utterly useless. Though last game v Liverpool I thought he was excellent. From the off today we looked like a set of players feeling very sorry for themselves.
We lost the last game and took 0 points. Anything else is IRRELEVANT!!!!
-
Taylor shanks one
-
Nakamba is actually doing ok, but doing job of 2 or 3 as Luiz hasn’t turned up and McGinn a bit of the pace. Injuries have killed us as well. Got see a way back. And we’re not doing a f##king Fulham, Jesus wept
-
Fucking hell. We know we are stuffed if the likes of Taylor are having a shot!
-
Well that’s better than anything in the first half. Keep it up.
-
With the inability to change much as only 1 sub left, i'm not overly confident for this half.
If we had another change available I'd have hooked one of the wide boys off (probably Trez) and put on Hourihane. Try to get back the shape we looked decent at last few weeks.
As it stands I think it's keep it to 1-0, put on Kodj and hope he think it's 2017 again.
-
Wonder if all these valiant (/brainless) performances where we’ve dropped points are taking their toll on morale and energy levels. I blame smith’s lack of game management for that, ultimately.
-

Someone's a Shouty Shaun.
-
I also wonder how many more kicks in the bollocks our lot can take from late collapses. Last week was so inevitable yet so painful yet again. And going into a game against a Wolves team that play a similar way and have technical players without Jack, and then to lose Engels and Heaton would have knocked the stuffing out of us. And we are playing like we are going through the motions without any energy or fight. It's very poor indeed.
-
Wolves hit the bar
-
Christ.
-
Well left lads, was always safely crashing against our bar and going out.
-
Wolves hit the bar
It's only a matter of time before they score again. Just like last week you just knew the Liverpool winner was coming this latest train is only a few minutes away.
-
Smith need to try a new formation. Wesley up on his own isn’t working.
-
Jimenez shoots wide
-
Got an idea lads. Let’s stand off traore in the edge of the box. Trust me
-
Contrary to popular belief, Adama is actually a pretty good wide player nowadays. Just been called up to Spain.
2-0 is only about 5-10 minutes away I fear.
-
This is going to end nastily
-
I thought Nakamba took one for the team with his booking
He got skinned.
I'll have to watch it again. I thought they were breaking on us and were out of position?
-
Fucking hell. Normal service resumed.
-
I thought Nakamba took one for the team with his booking
He got skinned.
I'll have to watch it again. I thought they were breaking on us and were out of position?
You’re right.
-
I keep hearing the words "horribly exposed" in my head.....
-
This is going to be 3 or 4 nil
-
I keep hearing the words "horribly exposed" in my head.....
I tend to hear them in the bedroom.
-
Adama has become what we hoped he would become. Too quick and explosive for our rabble, we shit ourselves whenever he has the ball.
We had our good 40 seconds at the start of the half but looks like it has reverted to the first half pattern now.
-
Wahooo a corner.
-
We are gonna score here.
-
Wesley did well there.
-
This could end 3 or 4-0. We aren't even at the races. I watched a few games yesterday and even the likes of Southampton and Norwich and certainly Watford yesterday had better game plans and put in a decent shift. We can't even get close to Wolves.
-
We are gonna score here.
I didn't say which season.
-
Another Wolves shot.
-
This is going to end nastily
I am afraid so.
-
SJM nearly cost us there.
-
Wesley puts it over the bar
-
I love Nakamba off the ball, but he's been unable to pass the ball 2 yards all game. What he's doing lining up a 25 yard volley I've no idea.
-
Outside of our first 11, we have a championship squad. Just goes to show how important Grealish is to our team. McGinn has flattered to deceive lately too - the odd little spark, but nowhere near the player he was last season.
Need to scrap to avoid relegation and invest massively in next few windows.
-
I forgot Wolves played Thursday as well. Fucking hell our energy is awful.
-
Another Wolves shot.
You may as well have this as copy and paste for the remainder of the game. Unless of course you have FFS copied and pasted ready to use.
-
Good work from AEG
-
Mcginn lift your head up and pass ffs
-
That's our best chance yet. Should have done better, don't think Neymar will be too worried about his place.
-
I’m stuck listening to wm. can someone tell me what exactly is a Mel eaves?
-
Good work from AEG
Yeah
-
Rubbish Wesley. Well done AEG.
-
This could end 3 or 4-0. We aren't even at the races. I watched a few games yesterday and even the likes of Southampton and Norwich and certainly Watford yesterday had better game plans and put in a decent shift. We can't even get close to Wolves.
Playing poorer teams helped (Southampton and Norwich still lost).
We are still better than those teams IF we had Engels, Grealish and Heaton all out there as they are obviously some of the best players at the club.
Without them yes life does become a major struggle.
-
Wolves shot, corner. Not yet on copy and paste.
-
Trezeget for fucks sake.
-
Wesley puts it over the bar
Unbelievably poor.
-
Just seen Wes shot Fein useless
-
Wesley is cack.
-
Come on Villa. Would love to see us shut up these orange twats bouncing around in the stands.
-
Horrible technique from Wes
-
Wesley can only score with his feet from 5 yards.
-

Last season going 3 months without a win without him playing certainly showed that. I guess it's the instant reaction of a match thread but surprised people are just dismissing it and wondering why we are playing s***.
This level is brutal if you play key games without your best players. Despite all the money spent we have nowhere near a competitive end squad for this level in the final third.
-
Outside of our first 11, we have a championship squad.
Same as about fourteen teams in this division, then.
-
Nakamba gone to pot this half, constantly giving the ball away.
-
Wesley can only score with his feet from 5 yards.
Has he ever demonstrated this wonderful talent?
-
Just get the impression we are slightly more involved in this half, Wolves could feel Thursday's game in the last 15, just might have a chance of getting back into this.
-
We're looking a bit better this half,, although it was a very low bar set.
-
Get key players back and avoid suspensions for Newcastle. Yes, as someone said earlier they have pulled off some impressive wins but their record against the bottom half teams is crap.
Still hopeful of an undeserved late equaliser here.
-
We have at least been better this half. I don’t think we’ll score, but small positives.
-
Corner!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
-
COYVB.
-

I agree but also we don’t have the squad (or maybe the manager) to win a different way. That makes us more vulnerable to losing key players than most.
If we had a different striker, more versatility with options in midfield or a manager who could surprise other teams we’d cope better.
-
Throw in!!!!!!!!
-
El Ghazi never beats his man, does he?
-
This half is actually bearable. It only took us 55 minutes to wake up.
-

Well it all comes back to August 31st dosen't it? We have enough to beat likes of Norwich and Brighton but once we get a few injuries in final third we have very little decent options. Games like today show not getting in another forward was a bit of an error.
Good that we have another transfer window left in the season to improve things, doing nothing isn't an option this year.
-
At least they aren't having it all their own way this half. We have worked much harder and tried to move the ball a bit quicker. Still don't look like we have a goal in us though.
-
Ffs Trez
-
Nyland with a good save
-
Ffs Trezeguet. He has no left foot whatsoever. And good save, Nyland.
-
Our wingers really are fluffy flumps aren’t they?
-
That was a brilliant pass by Luiz. Dreadful Trez.
-
I repeat, Nyland with a good save.
-
Trezeguet takes out 4 Villa players by being fucking shit
-
We refuse to attack down the left.. we should be trying to expose Traore's total unwillingness to track back and defend.
-
Bit of a gap opening now in the table, 4 points off 12th.
Newcastle is going to be huge considering the following three games we have.
Can't afford to come out flat in that game and we need the injured guys back.
-
Trezeguet is entirely hopeless.
-
We do need an upgrade on our wide men.
-
Typical second half this one. We huff and puff until they get the second. Get Kodjia on FFS.
-
Brilliant pass from luiz that
-
We refuse to attack down the left.. we should be trying to expose Traore's total unwillingness to track back and defend.
Yep. The exact thing they’re doing to us.... to perfection!
-
Jimenez should have scored.
Lansbury on for Nakamba
-
Come on Henri.
-
Stop giving away the ball FFS.
-
What kind of fucking sub is that?
-
I repeat, Nyland with a good save.
You're breaking up a bit there. I thought you said...
-
Ooh, a bus!
-
We've done pretty well to keep this to 1-0.
You never know, millions of games the home team has been comfortably 1-0 up and drawn it. Usually happens to us.
Lansbury as final sub is weird one, DS seems to think he can be Grealish lite. Will probably pull his hamstring after 5 minutes. Nakamba off.
-
Oooooh we get to see a bus.
-
He's a decent player but Jota for them is an absolute bellend.
-
Sky showing that the villa game really is just a sideshow.
-
Odd substitution
-
Wow the Man City team bus. So much better for seeing that.
-
Mings down
-
Mings fucked, we are gonna be down to ten men.
-
Groin issue, we could be fucked
-
Missed the first half due to hangover, and not knowing the correct KO time. Switched TV on and have decided on hair of the dog. Fucking hell!
-
Mings done his groin.
This is real game to forget and the damage could hang over for a few weeks with all the injuries.
-
That sub may well sink us, time for Lansbury to step up.
-
Fuck off sky. No I don't give a shit about the citeh coach. WTF.
-
Don’t be injured Tyrone.
-
Missed the first half due to hangover, and not knowing the correct KO time. Switched TV on and have decided on hair of the dog. Fucking hell!
Thought you were talking about the villa team for a sec.
-
Put the bus back on the telly.
-
Villa want a pen, not given
-
Fuck off you cheating twats.
-
Wolves want a pen, not given.
-
God Mel eaves is annoying
-
VAR says no pen to Wolves
-
Ours won't be given. Theirs probably will.
-
Jota booked, mainly for being a twat.
-
About time that gobshite got booked.
-
About time Jota got booked. What a twat.
-
Jota and Mourinho are a right pair of pricks.
-
with all due respect to Henri Lansbury, and I like him as a player, but at his very apex of ability and talent he is at times a very good Championship level midfielder. He's not the quality of player we need to get us a point against a team with a midfield containing Neves and Moutinho.
-
Jota and Mourinho are a right pair of pricks.
I think our Jota is a decent bloke. Yes Mourinho is a wanker
-
We’re never scoring here.
-
Jota and Mourinho are a right pair of pricks.
Agreed. And I'm not keen on Moutinho, either.
-
Why did VAR check one pen appeal and not the other? I'm in a pub with no commentary.
-
Why did VAR check one pen appeal and not the other? I'm in a pub with no commentary.
They checked both.
-
15 mins to go
-
Ffs, ref.
-
Fuck off RMC Sport! 'Next, Liverpool at Manchester City for the Classic'
What fucking 'Classic'?
-
Good work from AEG again
-
Why did VAR check one pen appeal and not the other? I'm in a pub with no commentary.
They checked both.
Ta. Much better this half but still look toothless.
-
We’re never scoring here.
When did we last score at Molineux, Robbie Keane game?
I miss the times when trips to Hawthorns and Molinuex were 3 points games. Our records there in last 6-7 years have been really poor.
-
Jota and Mourinho are a right pair of pricks.
Agreed. And I'm not keen on Moutinho, either.
That's the first time I've smiled during this game. Cheers, mate.
-
Come on Villa, lets get this point.
-
Good work from AEG again
Yes he did well.
-
We are constantly having to hurdle tackles that the referee ignores.
-
Fuck off RMC Sport! 'Next, Liverpool at Manchester city for the Classic'
What fucking 'Classic'?
it's the game the entire universe has been waiting for. And by classic they mean that rivalry that is now deeply rooted in English football culture and folklore stretching back 2 years
-
We've played o.k last fifteen minutes.
Ultimately we don't have the nous to break down this sort of brick wall defence.
Wolves seem happy with the 1-0.
-
We're getting on top a bit now, come on Villa!!!
-
We've played o.k last fifteen minutes.
Ultimately we don't have the nous to break down this sort of brick wall defence.
Wolves seem happy with the 1-0.
Yeah we won’t score, but at least the second half has been better.
-
Ooooh we're getting close
-
Fucking hit it Wesley!
-
Come on Villa.
-
Come on Villa, lets get this point.
Might as well. I'll have an Estrella.
-
We've been fucked over countless time this season late on. It would be nice to get a late goal and a point.
-
Game is stretched now, come on Villa rescue a point.
-
This is much better. Wolves have tired badly.
-
Oh for a Centre forward
-
I'll go Wolves 2-0 up on 88 minutes.
-
2-0
-
Pitiful.
-
Adama sets up Jimenez
-
I'll go Wolves 2-0 up on 88 minutes.
4 minutes out.
-
Fuck it. ******.
-
See you in the championship lads.....
-
Absolutely fucking feeble.
-
Predictable
-
Taylor chickened out, Wolves score.
-
I'll go Wolves 2-0 up on 88 minutes.
Fucking watch!
-
game over
-

All from Taylor being a fanny
-
Taylor chickened out, Wolves score.
...of an appalling pass from McGinn.
-
Is there actually any point in Neil Taylor going past the half way line?
The goal stemmed from his utter shitness
-
Taylor's attempt at that challenge sums us up.
-
Harsh on us second half, but that first half was fucking woeful
-
Shit performance. Shit game. Shit injuries. Shit team. Shit it all.
-
I'll go Wolves 2-0 up on 88 minutes.
You were 4 mins out
-
Taylor WTF.
-
This is much better. Wolves have tired badly.
😳
-
Luiz needs to take the yellow there.
-
We're a dreadful side we're going to be in or just around the bottom three all season.
-
Luiz you twat
-
Anyone getting worried yet?
-
That was about as shit as it gets. Douglas Luiz bottled a free kick and barely put in a challenge on Traore. That's when you take one for the team and get a yellow. Useless every fucking one of them today
-
Taylor chickened out, Wolves score.
No he didn't for fucks sake, given a hospital pass by wee john.
-
Pray for me stuck with wm coverage. Spineless today. Totally spinelesd
-
Taylor's attempt at that challenge sums us up.
Luiz was worse
-
Too many bottlers today. A bad day. Again.
-
Luiz should have put Adama in the stand. Piss poor
-
Do we start a new ‘relegation watch’ thread or update the old one?
-
2-0. Fuck off.
Mcginn tracking back like a fucking snail. Crap.
I hate Wolves, Jiminez, the bloody lot of them.
A very very disappointing performance.
-
Unless we replace 2 of our front 3 we will be lucky to stay up. Pitiful going forward. Get into some decent positions and then it peters out continuously.
-
And it all started with McGinn and Taylor playing stupidly on the edge of their box. Fuck me we are so naive
-
All from Taylor being a fanny
That's ridiculous. Mcginn's pass was shit.
-
Anyone getting worried yet?
Been worried for ages
-
Taylor chickened out, Wolves score.
No he didn't for fucks sake, given a hospital pass by wee john.
Yup awful pass
-
I love SJM but he's been pretty poor last 4 or 5 games, certainly compared to how he started the season.
-
"We'll learn from this and move on."
-
Taylor's attempt at that was gutless, compounded by Luiz being just plain weird.
-
And it all started with McGinn and Taylor playing stupidly on the edge of their box. Fuck me we are so naive
Not naive. Just really poor. How many of our player would get into their team. 2 at best
-
All from Taylor being a fanny

Absolute hospital pass
-

mcginns fault he has had his worst game in a villa shirt today
-
I don’t want any sob story about the injuries off smith after this, or any shite about how he trusts the squad.
We need 2 big signings in January that should have happened in August and we need him to learn quicker than he is.
-
Anyone getting worried yet?
Was anyone ever not worried?!
Dean Smith better figure this out, idc who is on the pitch. Two billionaires aint going to give a flying shit about the romanticism regarding his managerial role.
Wesley and the wingers can fuck off back to their shit leagues.
-
Taylor chickened out, Wolves score.

Agreed - McGinn at fault there. Luiz has been woeful too.
Trying to remember the last time McGinn bossed a game.... nowhere near good enough recently.
-
Luiz needs to take the yellow there.
Agreed, has bottled physical contact all day today.
-
Taking the piss now
-
I'm sure that Dean will say all the right things in his post-match interview but he has got to look at the selection and formation. We are too easy to play against. 2 wingers who don't offer much going forward and are reluctant to track back is something that we just cannot afford.
Let's shore up the midfield and more than anything give some help to Wesley.
Dean Smith cannot just keep playing the same way. It isn't working.
-
Who gives a shit about these toss bags
-
Disaster from start to finish
-
Luiz needs to take the yellow there.
Agreed, has bottled physical contact all day today.
He's got the Ozil jog about him too. Drives me fucking mad.
-
Well, we'll just have to wait until next year to shut them up at Villa Park, I suppose.
-
We set up wrong to start with. Lightweight up front, Smith has got to sort that out quickly.
-
Luiz just isn’t the player we’re were led to believe he was.
-
We had them on the rack and have gifted them a second. We've got to stop being so fucking thick.
-
Don't we train, work on fitness, strength, we look so leggy.
-
Luiz has bottled pretty much everything and he isn't the only one.
-

Yep. Getting overrun too often.
Dispense with ineffective wingers and pack out and play through midfield.
Only way that today could get worse, is if Man City don’t win later.
-

The system means we are constantly chasing the ball. For all his pretty possession based football and philosophy our team has played with much less of the ball against most sides this season. No wonder our players look exhausted and it's certainly no wonder the one player who does most of the running looks out on his feet in every single game late on.
-
SCORRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRCHIOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
-
Standard performance at Molineux 2016-19. Small Heath lapping it up as if is they who have beaten us.
-
Taylor chickened out, Wolves score.
Chickened out? I think he just failed to get his shot away. Not sure what the hell he was doing up there in the first place, probably showing our midfield and attackers where the Wolves box is. Shame as he'd had Traore in his pocket this half and the defence has looked much better this half.
We have too many passengers in this side. It's still no excuse for Smith's selection today but we've made it very easy for Wolves today. A few players need to have a long hard look at themselves.
-
Most low key goal ever
-
Not one outfield player has any excuse today. Second best everywhere. Over to you Dean, any ideas?
-
One of the biggest problems is Smith keeps persisting with Wesley on his own up front and it just doesn't work. He's not fucking John Carew who was strong as an ox and could retain possession and bully CB's. Nothing sticks to Wes and the ball keeps coming back to our exhausted defenders and midfielders.
-
Trezeguet you utter ******
-
Gooooooool! Come on you Vill... Oh fuck it!
-
Didn't hear anyone cheer the goal. All left stadium?
-
Trezeguet you utter c***
Why had you got a few quid on 2-0?
-
SCORRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRCHIOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
Underlining our wankiness in gifting them the 2nd.
-
That summed up the entire game. Should have been dead and buried there.
-
SJM not been himself for a while
-
Fuck me Mcginn
-
Three minutes added on today, six minutes in the League Cup?
-
FT
-
What the fuck was that McGinn?
-
Only 3 minutes added on didn't give us much chance to build up pressure after the goal.
-
When McGinn has such a day, we will not get anything
-
Most low key goal ever
I actually took a while to figure out it was a goal
-

Play Wes and Kodjia against Newcastle. What is there to lose? Something has got to change.
-
Their victory song is Tears For Fears. They should be relegated for that alone.
-
Everyone wants to rule the world? Hilarious.
-
SJM not been himself for a whileo
utter shite for a while.now
-
That late goal could be handy for our goal difference at the end of season.
(scrapes barrel)
-
Everyone wants to rule the world? Hilarious.
That's actually cheered me up. Rule the world? Daft ******.
-
SJM not been himself for a whileo
utter shite for a while.now
He's been poor in the 2nd half for a couple of months now. Looks a completely different player the the one that starred in the first. Needs sorting out.
-
What a shambles. Out fought, out thought, completely disorganised.
Leaving Neves alone on his own on the edge the box - you get what you deserve.
Wesley, El Ghazi and Trezeguet in particular need massive kick up the arse. The lack of quality on the bench said it all, Taylor ain't good enough and did Lansbury actually touch the ball when he came on?
Dean Smith today was incredibly naïve with his team set up.

I thought El Ghazi provided pretty much all of our best moments today, not that there were many of them, and Taylor I thought did ok. Those blaming him for their second are simply wrong.
-
I take it back about Taylor. Just seen it again.
