I've never really been bothered with Reward points, but now the away game ballot seems to be 200 points per go, they are starting to be more important to me.
The points reward chart is here:
https://rewards.avfc.co.uk/earnpoints
For the Bournemouth game I have been awarded: 5pts goal bonus, 10 points attendance and 10 points early attendance - total 25 points.
However, the points chart on the rewards website states the actual points should be: 10pts goal bonus, 20 points attendance and 40 points early attendance - total 70 points.
Has anyone else noticed this discrepancy?
-
I can't log in. It just says "this site can't be reached". Piece of shite.
-
I went out and back in again and was able to log in. I got fifteen points, didn't get "early attendance".
You're correct. Looking at last season the bonuses were higher. Either they have changed the totals and not updated the information to tell people, or there is a glitch in the system somewhere.
-
Pravda needs a serious overhaul.
-
From what I’ve seen, the ‘Rewards’ on offer are anything but. A right load of old tat you wouldn’t even take to the car boot, let alone buy.
-
I can't decide whether to swap my Reward Points for some magic beans or Ross McCormack.
-
Get yourself some points and support the women's team as well.
Season Ticket Holders have the chance to earn bonus Pride Rewards points over the international break by coming along to Villa Park to cheer on Aston Villa Women.
We’re offering TRIPLE points on win and goal bonuses, as well as 150 points when you redeem your free seat online, and a further 150 when you enter Villa Park!*
That means Season Ticket Holders will earn points for every goal and points if the home side emerge victorious, as long as they attend the game.
Season Ticket Holders will simply need to claim their ticket for the match online here before midday on 6th September and be in the stands on 8th September for the match, which kicks off at 12pm.
Check out the Rewards Portal for items you can redeem using your bonus points.

But it's 200 points to enter the away ticket ballot, so to have any real chance you need to collect a good amount of points to enter a few ballots
-
I've never used any of mine and have amassed 5,044 points
-
Do the points accrue when you scan your season ticket into the ground? Isn't working for me if that's the case. Not really bothered, but it's another area that if they're going to persevere with it, they need to fix.
-
I've never used any of mine and have amassed 5,044 points
I had loads. Just looked, and they've gone. I've got 500 sign up for this season, 15 for Bournemouth. I have moved seats twice since I renewed, so I suppose it's a bit like moving house, something always inexplicably disappears.
-
I've got about 4,000. The rewards on the site are of no interest though.
-
I was going to use them to get something for my son. I've never used any, I am right in believing they were carried over, yes?
-
Mine have been.
-
I read they only carry over for one season, so you've done wel to keep your 4,000.
Why don't you just enter a few prize draws that they have on there to win £50 vouchers etc?
-
Mine seem to go back as far as November, 2017. I can't see any auctions at present. Just a Paul McGrath CD, an option to have my name mentioned in the West Ham programme and a 20% deduction on Virgin trains, which I already get as a season ticket holder.
-
I think they’re carried overnight from previous seasons, I’ve not had the inclination or incentive to uses any and have amassed 6735.
-
It either needs improving massively, or binning. I just don't see any use of it at all.
-

The pre-match hospitality is good - good food, free drink and compare with old players
-
Yes, I've done that before and enjoyed it. Shame it doesn't seem to be an option at present.
-
I think they had it for the west ham game, but sold out now. Presume they will do it for most home games?
https://rewards.avfc.co.uk/rewards/marketplace/550
-
Ta. Will keep an eye out.
-
Used mine to get some sunglasses. They're crap.
-
Somewhere around 5000 gives you a really good shot at The hospitality auction. That’s proper hospitality, not the ‘pre match event ‘ thingy.
That would usually cost around £170 a head so that’s worth a look. I don’t think you lose the points on a ‘auction’ unless you win -only on a raffle.
Gather a few extra points by loading some cash on your reward card before you spend ANYTHING at Villa Park food, drink, merchandise - pay for it all on your reward card if you have about 5000 points and then throw all of it at a hospitality auction until you win one!
-
Points roll over for three seasons
How long will I keep my Pride Rewards points for?
If you continue to hold a valid Season Ticket, your Pride Rewards points will continue to roll-over for a period of 3 seasons before any points are lost. For instance, any unused points accrued for the 2018/19 season will expire on July 1st 2020.
They still haven't fixed the points allocated from Bournemouth with the stated Rewards, but they seem to have deleted the page on the site that said 10pts goal bonus, 20 points attendance and 40 points early attendance. No response to my previous e-mail query regarding this. Bloody shambles.
-

Difficult... would both end up buried?

I've got 4975 at the moment but it doesn't look like the Everton points are included yet.
Therefore, I might soon be able to try out Amfy's cunning plan
However, there's no auctions or draws listed at the moment.
Looks like all you can do at the moment is order a God CD or walk on the pitch at halftime.
-

That's not true at all. Ok, there are some things you might not want but you can get some good stuff as well. A mate of mine picked up a couple of Luke Polo shirts last season which would have set him back the best part of £100 had be bought them. Check it regularly and you'll find some good stuff if you have enough points.
-
Got an e-mail that reward points from last season expire end of Sept.
It's mostly rubbish really, but you may be able to get yourself a mug or a cap before they dissapear, which is better than a poke in the eye.
-
Had Email on 5th August saying reward points expire at 11.59 on 5th September. Any you accrue between 5th Aug and 5th Sept will though stay on your account if not used.
Boring announcement completes.
-
Got a cap that looks decent tbf.
-
Can only see a subbuteo poster of any consequence. And that's not floating my boat
-

Look back later. The caps and the mugs dissapeared before and them appeared again this afternoon (gone again now) I'm guessing they are going quickly because of the e-mail, but they will add more.
-
Just had a look for the first time in yonks.
Crap.
-
I couldn’t see anything I wanted so I have done 8 entries for hospitality before the West Ham game!
-
I think I've applied for two! Can't remember if it was that game.
-
I got the drawstring bag, be useful for a Holiday to put items in for around the pool. Not picked it up yet and haven't decided if I will before the Everton clash with it being such an early kick off.
-
First time I’ve ever even looked at this and have well over 4000 points and nothing to spend them on. Think I’d prefer the old system of a few quid of discount in the club shop
-
Got my lad a couple of nice hoodies. Well worth it.
-

I’ve spent all my points on that, I’m not even going.
-
I "bought" a couple of Champions 81 footballs thinking can give to young relatives but didn't realise it is collect only until after transaction has gone through. Really can't be arsed lugging them all the way to the Bartons and home after the game. Will collect them one day or other.
-
Hold your fire before wasting points, they added extra stuff today at some point so hopefully they will do again.
-
Too late…. but thanks
-

Bugger…had an email saying that the points were about to expire, so used them on some tat to give away
-
Exactly the same as I did. As did probably half the people that received the email, I imagine.
-
All that's left to buy is a Subbuteo poster. Think I'll pass.
-
It's utter shit on that rewards site, all stuff you wouldn't pay money for. Waste of time.
-
I'll say it for a third time, keep your eyes on it. It was the same yesterday morning but in the afternoon caps and mugs were added - I ordered a cap. Hopefully things will come back in stock over the next few days / weeks, so bide your time.
-
Thanks for the tip Chris. Still just Subbuteo posters and a "desktop extension" at the moment. Hope they find some more stuff in the back of the club shop soon!
-
That's exactly what it is back of the club shop stuff, Purslow probably thinks us peasants will be grateful of a subuteo poster or a desktop extension.
Season Ticket Holders SHOULD get
10% Discount at club shop and online
20% Discount on food and beverage on match days
Half price programmes
Discounted entry to local attractions like Cadbury World etc
Discounted stadium tours

Everything has a cost.
If they give 20% discount on food and drink, then they're reducing match day catering income by approx 15% (as 70% of fans on a match day are ST holders). Same for programmes etc.
This lost income has to be made up somehow - which basically means increased prices.
So you asking the poor families who take a packed lunch and live on bread and water to subsidise Fat Steve who earns a wedge and wants to drink 5 pints and have a balti pie.
That would be a dIsGrAce.
(btw, i agree 10% of merch would be fair)
-
We used to get that shop discount and a couple of free pies / soft drinks each season
-
Do we still get the first home cup game free?
-
Do we still get the first home cup game free?
I think you mean the only home cup game.
-
Right, there's some hoodies (small) and some gnomes appeared on the site. Fill yer boots.
(although I'm not quite sure how you're meant to get 2,500 points if the reset every season?)
-
I think the whole thing is a piss take.
-

I had over 4,000. Not sure if that was just last season or if it reset. I only bought a season ticket. No away games and no cup matches because we didn't play any at home.
-
Ach. Saw the gnomes by chance before looking at this thread, thought might save a couple of quid for future gift from kid, got caught up trying to access her rewards account while on hold to the TO (they can’t tell you the balance) meanwhile gone back and they are all gone. Again.
It’s nice to get the freebies but if the system starts getting more annoying than the benefits :/
-
Were there any hoodies for gnomes?
-

I had over 5000 from the same. However, I think I got bonus points for being in the ground stupidly early every game
-

Same here. Gnomes, subbuteo posters, leftover EC flags. Utter tat. They only list this stuff to save some poor fucker having to take it to the tip.
-
I wouldn't call it a piss take. If you don't want to use the points, then don't.
-
Gnomes? Where's the gnomes? I can't see any gnomes. I'll have a gnome.
-
I couldn’t see anything I wanted so I have done 8 entries for hospitality before the West Ham game!
I’ve spent all my points on that, I’m not even going.
I’m still laughing at this.
-
I got a baseballl cap for my son.
-
Were there any hoodies for gnomes?
It seems they are addiing stock randomly. I'd guess there's a lot more activity right now as they've just told everybody they have 4 weeks to spend their points. But over the last few days there's been various mugs, caps, gnomes and a small selection of hoodies in very limited sizes that I've seen.
If you have points it's worth checking back. I ordered a very decent looking cap the other day.
edit - infact there's a load of hoodies and some caps right now (you need to click on the 'marketplace link' to see all they've got.) The caps aren't as nice as the ones they had the other day at the moment - the one I got was a 'Brand 47' cap which seems to be worth about £20-£25 online.
-
The rewards site is under maintenance at the mo. Does this mean they are adding stock or are the inundated with requests for subbuteo posters?
-
The rush for exclusive drawstring bags has crashed the network
-
People keep hitting refresh hoping that the number of points needed drops by the 20 points they need for the item they want.
-
Gnomes? Where's the gnomes? I can't see any gnomes. I'll have a gnome.
I’ve got a Villa gnome - he’s holding a “beer garden” sign. Classy.
-
Villa tell you to spend all your points so I spent all my points. They then do the Leicester away ticket ballot where you need 100 points to enter and I can’t. Grrr!
-
Did you need reward points to enter ballot last season?
-
So what's the last day for using rewards? I haven't seen anything in my emails?
-

Same! Really annoying!
-
Saw this thread and headed over to rewards page to find I have >3900 points. Lots of hoodies on there now. No subbuteo posters though.
-

I've emailed to ask if we will accrue more points as the season goes on to enable us to apply for future ballots, or, if not, if I can cancel my as yet uncollected order. No response yet to email sent yesterday.
-
Oh - you definitely get more points - you get them for attending games, seeing goals (or being in the ground when they are scored - they can’t tell if you were at the bar when it went in), & you can boost points by stuff like guessing goal scorers before the game.

Thanks. Jane will be pleased!

The fans in Zone 6 used to get docked reward points if we conceded I heard.

They don't get rewards, they have to do forfeits.
