Title: Purity Brewing as an official Supplier
Post by: JJ-AV on August 17, 2019, 07:00:40 AM
Surprised there hasn't been a thread about this. Delighted. Their Session IPA is one of my favourites.

Quote
Aston Villa is delighted to announce Purity Brewing as an Official Supplier.

The brewery, located just 30 miles south of Villa Park in Warwickshire, will supply a range of draught and packed award-winning ales and craft beers across the stadium concourses and hospitality areas.

Purity have also commissioned an exclusive Pale Ale to mark the club’s return to the Premier League, which fans will also be able to enjoy at Villa Park.

Aston Villa Chief Commercial Officer Nicola Ibbetson said: “I’m delighted that Aston Villa have partnered with a local company, further outlining the club’s mission to forge deeper connections with businesses and communities close to our city.

“Purity Brewing will provide an important service at Villa Park, one which we believe will enhance our supporters’ matchday experience.”

Purity Brewing Company’s CEO and Co-Founder, Paul Halsey, a lifelong Villa fan, said: "This partnership between Purity and Aston Villa is all about creating the perfect match day experience for supporters and reflects our belief in a more discerning beer drinking public.

“Working with Aston Villa & Villa Park is testament to the ongoing success of our original mission when we started, which is to brew great beer without prejudice, with a conscience and with a consistency and an attention to detail, which is second to none.”

There is maybe a case for putting things like this, which show the green shoots of recovery, in a more positive thread than commercial failings. The Kappa thread, on the other hand, could definitely be incorporated with the commercial failings thread!

Just rename the commercial failings thread to 'Commercial operations'. Bingo!

BE, I appreciate you are the oracle of grammar, but is the ‘to’ correct?

Rename
verb
give a new name to.
"after independence Celebes was renamed Sulawesi".

I appreciate that seeing ‘confectionry’ written down as a word may have made you light headed.

JJ you slacker, you've not been keeping tabs on every thread, every day.

Yes. Soz. I wasn't thinking correctly. Change it 'from' X 'to' Y, rename it X, or rename X 'as' Y are other possible solutions.

As long as it is renamed to something that can be easily understood.

I am a pedant without portfolio, so it's always a worry to go up against a specialist.

Well, Toronto Villa has just named me as one of the most pedantic people on this site so I must be doing something right.

Might have to switch to a bottled beverage at VP...the Purity Villa Ale was minging and the Amstel tasted of pipe cleaner.

Always find issue with Draught Lager in many places in UK,either pipe cleaner or stale off taste. Taken many a pint back and get a look of disgust!!!! you'd be shut down if you served that s**** in Iceland (my second home)

I had a bottle of the Villa Pale yesterday and really enjoyed it, the pies seem to have changed though more pastry and less filling

I thought the Purity was fine (upper Holte).  It's on keg so the quality should be consistent.

I was just amazed that there are still so few taps and staff.  It's almost like they dont want to make money selling beer.

Just went to buy one*. Told the missus. Not allowed, because a letter has already been sent to Father Christmas, and apparently I'm "f***ing impossible to buy for". So now I know what I'm getting, I'll have to pretend to be surprised and grateful, and not be pissed off at having had to wait nearly four weeks for it.
