Title: Bournemouth Home
Post by: JD on June 13, 2019, 09:27:38 AM
I am over from NZ and in Birmingham for our first home fixture v Bournemouth on August 17th. If anyone can get me two tickets I would be very indebted (and a few drinks in it as well as whatever it costs).

Hi mate. I can help you with that, if you want. Any preference whereabouts?. Guessing the Holte End will be pretty full with sth’s, by the time they go on sale.

Thanks for responding as well Aftab. I don't think I will get tickets with my booking history, last live game I got tickets for was Arsenal away in Nov 1993.

Less than a thousand left, 772 in total.

558 in the upper Trinity and 128 across the other parts of the ground, save the Holte which is sold out.

There's the possibility of another 1600 if Bournemouth only sell the lower tier allocation.

Bournemouth have got an initial 2000 and have got a couple of hundred left. They haven't taken the additional 1k in the upper tier yet.

9 tickets left according to the tickets site, and they're not even on general sale yet.

Yep, this is not even getting close to general sale which would've been 5pm on Friday.

Incredible really. I think Bournemouth travel o.k so think they'll take upper tier allocation.

Pretty impressive and would imagine Everton will also sell out quickly as we've always had good attendances against them in the past.

Now if we sell out v West Ham for a Monday night game before that hits general sale it would be time to get in touch with the architects to draw up some plans for the North stand I'd suggest.....

I know it's the first home game, but usually we see an August dip in attendance. Selling out Bournemouth before general sale is evidence that CD is right.

Looks li like down to 1 hoping for Bournmouth don't take top tier. Flying from Dublin if any spares going.

3 left, but keep your eyes peeled as Bournemouth may not take up the upper Witton allocation, so there could be another 1000 go on sale.

I've booked to come with my son, assuming that I'd be able to get a ticket - we come to 2 or 3 games a season and each have fans IDs. Has anyone any suggestions if it's sold out? How can we maximise our changes if these 1000 extra seats become available? Thanks for any tips.

As Ads said above - Bournemouth haven't taken the upper tier of the away end yet. If they don't, we may find those go on sale to home fans.

God I've been in the Home End at away matches but going into the away end at home is a bit mad.  I looked at Bournemouth website and seems easy enough though just need to register. Can't believe Bournemouth at home hasn't gone to general sale.  Bit different to the Milwall match back in 1988.

I have The Official History of Aston Villa (1989) and the season reviews for 1992-3  and 1995-6 on VHS to give to a good home (no money wanted). If anyone is interested, PM me and I will bring them to the Bournemouth game.

So I got an email from Bournemouth telling me that they've checked and realised I'm a Villa fan, so won't sell me tickets in the away end (they're doing a refund), but I found 2 tickets not far apart in the Trinity Road, so a better outcome anyway. And my lad gets to wear his new Grealish top.
