Does anyone know the sale dates for the Sheff Weds game
-
We got an email the other day. They're negotiating price.
-
Bound to be the full monty now promotion is back on.
-
We've got 3100 apparently. Surely we'll get more than that wont we ?
-
£39 the bastards!! How much do we charge away fans?
-
If it’s only 3100, I’m on the scrounge for one then
-
That's cheaper than recent years, I think.

They can shove it...£39

£30.00
-
I have 2 spares for this, pm if interested

Initial. We can have up to 4600.

Could've sworn it was £30 last season

Pretty sure Villa subsidised them by £9 a ticket last season, first season we were down here they were over £40 iirc.
-
Can’t believe the ticket prices. £39! Rob dogs.
-
It's put me right off, absolutely loved it last season mind
-
It was £39 last year and £42 the year before.
-
9 of us so far from Bournemouth. Really looking forward to it now. UTV
-
It will sell out. And the additional allocation.
-
Couple of questions
Where do away fans drink? Been to United before but not Wednesday
Will we get bigger allocation so those with only 3 away games get a ticket? Naming no names :-X
-
There are a few pubs around the ground but your best bet is drinking in town and jumping on the tram.
-
If you want a pint at half time, you should probably start queuing now.
-
I'm looking for a ticket for this if anyone has a spare please.
-
Last year I had a pint in the Devonshire Cat which is just off West St in the tram. There are a few other decent pubs on West St too. There’s not much else around the ground from memory.

My advice is avoid the Horse and Jockey up the hill near the ground, the beer is revolting and the wait to be served is biblical in length. Stick to the city centre, some great pubs there.
-
Thanks for the heads up gents
-
Am looking for 2 old farts tickets over 65 for my mates from Yorkshire both villa fans who’ve text me - glory hunters
-
It was £39 last year and £42 the year before.
We were all in the upper Leppings last season, block WU6 and it cost £30 and £15 for the nipper

Villa subsidized the tickets last year. They thought that it was fairer than giving free travel on the official coaches - and it was!

Depends what you like to drink and what atmosphere you like. As has been said, avoid round the ground.
There are plenty of pubs on the tram route, one at the station and another nearby.
Happy to advise more.

Because Villa subsidised the tickets by £9 last season.

Does anyone know how ticket sales are going?
Would still take a spare if anyone had one as I am not sure whether it will get to my criteria
-
About 1500 sold.

ticket sorted now thanks

Rough figures from the site, but around 700 left. I would imagine theres around 2100 sold with around 400 held back so far as restricted views. Would expect the lower tier to be taken.
I'd take the lower tier first myself and sell the restricted views last, but we'll see.
Cateforay change to 3 away games tomorrow at 5pm.
Edit: 2072 sold as of 15:00, so I was about right really.
-
The Brown Bear in Norfolk Street is a great, cheap, traditional pub with very friendly locals. Don't tell too many though as it's only small! Pint of Sam Smiths was only £2.20 last season, up from £2.10 the previous season! Tram stop pretty much at the end of the road.
-
The bankers draft is ok, a Wetherspoon pub, quite a few villa in there last year and it has a tram stop straight outside
-
Last 400 have sold out following the criteria change.
No confirmation yet on when we will get the 1400 down stairs. I would be surprised if we did not.
-
Sold out.
Only a handful were left at 5pm when they went on sale to ST holders and they went in minutes. Luckily I got the extra ones I needed.
Ticket office confirmed today that we’re not getting the extra allocation (downstairs) this season. No idea why.
-
The ticket office hasn't said that, they've said there's no confirmation on the lower tier. As it's now sold out upstairs, presumably there's a question to ask.

I asked the question on the phone to the TO this afternoon.
-
They've put out on Twitter they'll update when they hear further. They put the Twitter account on to avoid the misinformation about the phone calls, with different people saying different things.
They've said there's no further allocation for Rotherham, but no news on downstairs at Hillsborough, but they'll update should this change.
-
Surely we'll get the lower tier, can't see any reason why not?
-
Sheffield United recently got the lower tier in the derby so can't see why we wouldn't, if I remember right it was a day or two last year after the upper tier had sold out that the lower was then allocated to us
-
Wednesday have given opponents the same allocation as they get when they play away. The only team that was different was Sheffield United.
I doubt we'll get any more.

Leeds got 4600, maximum allocation is 2800 at Elland Road.

We've asked Sheffield Wednesday for more tickets and we're waiting to hear from them.

Yep and they haven't played at Elland Road yet, dirty Leeds are giving 1467 on a couple of weeks. Wednesday were shit in the reverse fixture perhaps why they needed a bigger crowd. They likely won't want a big turnout from us.
-
I really doubt that's how they operate. They gave their neighbours 3900.

We will get the lower tier IMO.

Looks like I was speaking out of my arse. Ah well, serves me right for listening to one of them I guess
