For those of you who have read the latest H&V, you will have read my article about launching a Benelux Lions club to try and encourage the folks over here in the low countries to meet up and support the club across the three countries. Our FB page (https://www.facebook.com/AVFCBeneluxLions/ (https://www.facebook.com/AVFCBeneluxLions/)) went live a week or so ago along with other Social media bits and bobs like Instagram (https://www.instagram.com/beneluxlions/ (https://www.instagram.com/beneluxlions/)). You can also email us at membership@beneluxlions.com
Our first official get-together will be for the derby game on the 25th November where the game will be streamed for us at The Old Dutch bar and restaurant, Sint Janstraat 3A, Breda. It’s a place a few of us know well, having watched the play-off final there. If anyone is in the neighborhood and fancies meeting up with fellow fans to enjoy a derby day thumping of the pond-life, or if you happen to live in the low countries and fancy sharing the experience, feel free to pop along where you be made very welcome (We might even treat you to some free bitterballen).

That's all double Dutch to me. Good luck with your venture Neil & Benelux lions. #Part of the pride.

I had to explain to some youn Dutch men what a pie was at half time at our last game. I persuaded them to get a Balti Pie for a totally unique culinary experience. I bet they’re still talking about it now.

It's a couple of years too late for me, as I've moved back to the UK, but good luck and well done.

Will Brexit effect you?
-
Neil, there was always a big Villa following at O’Caseys in The Hague, might be worth messaging the pub?
It’s a trek The Hague to Breda mind, but it’s only 1 train from DH CS.

The very best of luck, fair play to you, good man

Good luck with the venture Neil.
As the grateful recepient of the efforts of the Danish Lions I know that your members are lucky to have someone who's prepared to put the effort in.

Thanks for the support - Short answers to a couple of things: I bloody hate olliebollen which are the anti-bitterballen; I'll contact that bar in The Hague John and no Brexit will not stop me supporting my team (unless there's a line item in the 500 page document I've not read yet).

I used to work in a town about a mile outside of Breda, Gilze Rijen.
