This has been uploaded to YouTube, 54 minutes of action and player / manager interviews. Of course a terrible game but fascinating to see it after 41 years. The ref actually stopped the game to search for a bandsman's spur that accidentally came adrift on to the pitch! Of course the second replay at Old Trafford was a classic.
-
Awful game the highlight being the search for the spur. Did Chris Nichol find it?
-
Some great Alex Cropley crunching tackles to view! Good banter between Chris Nicholl & Alex in an interview in the dressing room after the game. A fairly long discussion with Ron Saunders as well.
-
Great build up to the game which as a 16 year old was so disappointing - and having to beg my mum to let me skip school for Hillsborough.
-
I wonder if Alex Cropley's word to Chris Nicholl after the game stuck in Chris' head and decided it was time to show some "leadersip" just before he fired his thunderbolt at Old Trafford.
-
An absymal game. Apart from the search for the spur, my only other memory were chants of "Pass the ball back, pass the ball back, pass the ball back Everton".
-
Fortunately, I was so pissed, I fell into a stupor and spent most of the game asleep.
Fit and strong for the two replays though.

You didn't have to be pissed to fall asleep at that game.

Thanks, you've just given me an idea for a new thread.

Was so looking forward to this one damp squib. Never mind 2nd replay was the best ever
