Any update on sales? Is it looking like we'll take the lower tier aswell? Would be disappointing if we didn't given our form and league position.

There are 1083 left online. Whether that's all the available or not isn't clear, so it doesn't necessarily mean we've sold 2000.

I suspect that on this occasion, the figure is correct. I know for some games, the club release one or two blocks at a time but on this one, the whole 7 blocks have been available from the word go.

Twitter says 1856 sold which is the figure from the start of the day, so it would appear that the website is up to date as it means we've sold 2047 so far.

It hasn't got down to 1 away yet. I suspect that once it does, the remaining 1000 odd will get eaten into quite quickly.

Yes the blocks are quite unusually shaped. Could be more coming online. But my count was only 150 odd away from the Twitter amount so who knows.

Fulham has just had another 70 released in section 7 (restricted view) It's a post blocking a view of the goal. The missing seats in WU6 at Sheffield are more or less in line with a post that blocks the goal as well.

By my reckoning there are 398 left of unrestricted upstairs and circa 150-200 restricted views that will go on sale.
Given the game isn't for over 2 weeks and we've sold around 800 since the criteria changed I would have thought we'd take the extra.
According to the site anyway it would be 2737 sold but there's those restricted views lurking.

I'd probably be moaning if Weatherspoons was packed - It's more likely to be full with people like you and the bloke from Wirral.
I prefer less crowded pubs myself where it's easy to get served and with seating and a decent menu available.

300 left according to the website. I'm not sure whether there are any restricted views after that.
I will be (ahem) very disappointed if Villa don't ask for the bottom tier. 50-100 sales a day is quite easily achievable and the week leading up to the game usually sees a rush to buy tickets.

2600 sold according to Twitter.
I had to call the ticket office earlier and I asked about a further allocation for this. They said they were still waiting to hear back from Wednesday on whether we could have the further allocation.

Their SAG are proper awkward with Wednesday. They've spent much of the past 5 years tarping off successive parts of their ground.

Almost 3000 sold, less than 200 left. AVFCSupport on Twitter said we're waiting to hear if we can have the extra 1500 in the lower tier.

About 60 left. Went on sale to ST holders with no aways at 5pm.
All 3 listed away games sales criterias changed at 5 this evening. Fulham is now sold out, Wednesday has 60 left and Sunderland now has around 1000 sold.

Yeah we've been given a further 1500 in the lower tier meaning a final allocation of 4600.

You have to say hats off to Villa here. They've subsidised each ticket by £9. With the extra tickets, that's about £41k - Almost enough to pay Ross McCormack his weekly wage. ;)
My tickets have just arrived and they are marked at £39. Absolutely disgusting for a Championship game.

We're shifting 150-200 a day so you'd imagine there will be 500 for general sale on Friday and for the balance so disappear early next week.

I'll be interested to see if there are any restricted views. I saw a photo of Newcastle at Sheffield and the 2 sections behind a pillar were empty. I reckon there are between 4 & 500 left.
That Twitter feed is hopelessly out of real time Sunderland has about 1150 sold and it came up as 950 yesterday. A similar difference with the Sheffield tickets.

I’m driving to this game and never gone there by car before. Any suggestions of where to park please? Is it best to head for the ground or park at Meadowhall and catch the tram?

Parking is pretty easy round there. Quite a lot of residential up on the estates up the hill about a mile from the away end. Or city centre and tram in.
