Bored at work, thought I would have a go.
1-2 - Hourihane, Onomah.
-
Not our luckiest of grounds generally - hope someone steps up to terry’s mantle got my own reservations. On the plus side not going and that’s a good sign so live in hope 1-0 win Andy gray to grab the winner if only he was playing utv

Could a Mod/Admin please a a Poll
I'll be there
-
Looking at their home record it ain't gonna be easy, they've beat Sheffield Utd and Wolves their last 2 home matches (and then got dicked 4-0 away at Forest). First goal is crucial, without Gerald Appleyard I fear the worst.
-
2-0
-
3-1 to them... booo....
-
Back to winning ways 1-2 us, Kodjia x 2.
-
I just get the feeling after the Wednesday game that we're going to have a little slump now, especially without Terry and possibly Snodgrass and Kodjia. 2-0 QPR.
-
always tough there....any type of win please Villa

-
I will predict a win but without great confidence that prediction is correct.
-
Another lose, no problem at all
-
Take a draw here 1-1
-
I'm going to this game but I think this will be a 1-1 draw.
-
QPR were probably the worst team we played home and away last season (maybe not as bad as Rotherham on reflection).
Pretty sure they didn't have a shot on target in either game.
That said we're usually terrible at Loftus Road and they have beaten Wolves and Sheffield United last two home games.
2-2.
-
Without Gerald Appleyard I suspect Bruce will go into full on McLeish "0-0 is a fist-pumping victory" mode for this one, but QPR will sneak a goal, we'll fail to create anything in response and they'll finish us off with a second. A bit like the Wolves game. I hope I'm wrong though and it's another Preston.
-
I went for the win. Although without much conviction. I reckon our quality will see us through.
-
A very tough game at a difficult place to play. Not a ground that has fovoured us recently.
Sadly we need 3 points and I doubt we will get them.
-
1-1 - but it will be a good game to watch
-
3-0Villa.
-
You often here ex pros say that you can not give players a ready excuse not to perform.
I hope that the injury to Terry is no such excuse.
-
0-6. Orange Lee to come on as a sub, score the fastest hatrick ever recorded and then get sent off. Three Trevor Francis own goals to see us home.
Heart says win, head says we’ll battle for a draw.
-
2-1 to us after a close game.
Dreadful ground, and getting out is potentially very dangerous with all the crowding in the narrow concourse. I'm surprised they got a safety certificate.
-
Very hard to predict so I'm going for us being on the wrong end of a winning stalemate.

I mentioned this only the other day...shocking stand and at nearly £30 a pop too...

As always about the attitude of the Manager whether he goes there on the front foot (Barnsley / Burton / Preston) or uses Terry as an excuse to pack the team out negatively and hope for a goal to be nicked
0-0 written all over it
Any hints on team news / fitness?
-
QPR are just the type of club that we slip up to, and so im predicting a 3-1 defeat in the hope that my habit of getting results wrong continues!
Just hope people wrap up warm when down there, could be quite a Bruce induced sleep fest.
-
I guess Terry won't mind too much missing this, the personal abuse would likely be off the scale.

I work with a QPR fan and they absolutely loathe Chelsea and Terry. He said when Terry was being linked with Small Heath, the prospect of him and Redknapp both returning to QPR together would've been something else for their fans.
-

I think he thrives off abuse.
-
Think a draw at best. No Terry is going to be a big problem for us and I just hope Bruce can get the team back to winning ways on a consistent level. Trouble is I am not confident he can.
-
Ps don’t forget to give Stan Bowles abuse
-

Like he got against Fulham?
-
We'll win this 1-1

even if you give stan bowles abuse I doubt he will remember as he has alzheimers

Away win. To nil.
-
We'll win.

Easier to be brave at home in front of away fans even if they have a history of not liking you. Memories of the Ferdinand incident amongst the home crowd coupled with it being a small, tight ground would make it one of his more hostile appearances I'd have thought.

He'd probably enjoy it.

Yeah, the sick pup.

1-1, it will be interesting to see how we shape up at the back without Terry.

Express and Star (https://www.expressandstar.com/sport/football/aston-villa/2017/11/17/qpr-vs-aston-villa-steve-bruce-looking-to-start-back-strong-from-international-break/)
Just how relaxing an international break can ever be for Villa’s manager is open to debate, particularly when a number of players key to his team’s promotion ambitions have been plying their trade in various corners of the globe.
Yet in addition to keeping tabs on the likes of Jonathan Kodjia and Mile Jedinak, the chief focus for Bruce ahead of tomorrow’s trip to QPR will have been how best to tackle one of the more frustrating trends of Villa’s campaign so far, namely their tendency to flounder in games immediately following an international break.
September’s 0-0 draw with Brentford and last month’s 2-0 derby defeat at Wolves were arguably their two poorest performances of the season.
The positive spin is that Villa have tended to improve markedly as the month has progressed but that does not satisfy Bruce, particularly when is team head to London eager to rebound from a disappointing 2-0 defeat to Sheffield Wednesday last time out.
Against both Brentford and Wolves, Bruce made minimal changes to his starting line-up though that could change tomorrow. John Terry’s broken metatarsal means Villa will be forced into a reshuffle at the back, with Chris Samba the favourite to replace the injured skipper in the heart of defence.
Bruce is also likely to hand a recall to Josh Onomah should the Tottenham loanee have sufficiently recovered from the groin problem which forced him to miss the defeat to the Owls.
Onomah had sparkled in wins over Fulham and Preston and Villa sorely missed the 20-year-old’s drive and energy in the middle of the park.
A whole group of players are still being assessed, meanwhile, including Robert Snodgrass (ribs) and Kodjia (ankle).
Throw in Jedinak’s round-the-world exploits helping Australia qualify for the World Cup and it quickly becomes clear how tricky a team selection this will be for the manager.
Positives come in the return to fitness of Jack Grealish and the fact teenage star Keinan Davis remained at Bodymoor Heath and did not travel with England Under-20s.
The 19-year-old, who ended speculation over his future by signing a new deal at Villa earlier this week, has had a huge impact on the club’s season but was noticeably below-par against both Brentford and Wolves.
“Against Wolves he got nowhere near them because physically, probably, he had gone past that line,” said Bruce.
“Sometimes with a young player you have to identify when they dip, leave them out, freshen them up and then they are ready to go.”
Kodjia scored the only goal as Villa claimed a 1-0 win in this fixture last season, their first victory away to the R’s in eight attempts.
The hosts have beaten the Championship’s top two, Wolves and Sheffield United, in their last two home games.

Shock! David "Predictor Extraordinaire" Prutton has gone for a Villa loss.
Not sure it matters who we are playing, its always "not villa".
Not saying QPR will be an easy game.
Though generally his predictions for all teams seems a bit off.
-
We only seem to have one fit striker so I am guessing it will be a return to 4-5-1 and expect he will go with something like Johnstone, Elmohamady, Samba, Chester, Hutton, Whelan, Hourihane, Adomah, Snodgrass, Onomah (or Grealish), Davis
Bruce will be hoping for a 1-0 win, fancy the draw sadly

I'd be happy with 1-0.

Could still play a 4-4-2, but drop Grealish or O'Hare just off Davis.
-
Lots of key injuries for us - I fear we will lose this one 1-0.
-
If it is a case of swapping Onomah and Jack at some point during the game, is it better start with Onomah as he has more games then bring Jack on later?
Or start with Jack so he runs himself ragged, and then Onomah's fresh legs after QPR have chased Jack's shadows ( maybe) ?
I'd go with Jack first.
But I think it will be a draw

Johnstone
Taylor
Chester
Samba [Jedi if he's match fit]

Super Jack

qpr have beaten wolves and sheffield united at loftus road. tough place to go.
i didn't go last season, but am going tomorrow. i think the only time i've ever seen us win at loftus road was when we beat fulham who were ground sharing there!
-
We look really strong in midfield but I really do worry now about where the goals are coming from.
-
Grealish linking up with Davis could be good. Even so, I can't see that defence holding out. Draw is the most we can hope for I feel.
-
2-0 QPR. We're fucked.
-
If we are serious about promotion we have to win these games
Despite the injuries we still have a strong team.
-
Don't trust that defence at all without Terry. 2-1
-
Samba first goal bearing in mind he used to play for them might be worth a saft quid or two.
-
Why Gerald Appleyard?
-

Gabby is coming back to fitness/fatness, the floodgates will indeed burst open

Never heard that dickhead say anything good about the villa. Did one of our players shag his wife or something?

5.0 us.

Another option would be to play Onomah and Hourihane in midfield with Grealish just in front of them.
-
Tough game. They’ve only lost once at home and beaten wolves and (I think) Sheffield United
I reckon Jedinak will play
If we win this after the fortnight we’ve just had I’ll be very surprised and very happy
-
Love a win, but think it will be a draw, hard game, shit injury list, manager without the imagination to make positive stand ins. (i.e. 442)
-
They've been bummed 4-0 last time out. I've not seen them myself so I don't know how good or bad they are. Presumably championship up and down one week from the next fodder.
-
With two home games to follow a point today would be acceptable, particularly given injuries to important players.
-

Before he got injured we played a sort of 4-4-2 with Onomah in a more advanced role. I can see Bruce going back to that today.

He did against blose and it did not work.

I agree about that and don't think Onomah is suited to the "number 10" role. Bruce seems to like him in that role though and played him there quite a bit before he got injured. If we are going to play that formation, I would rather see Grealish or O'Hare there really.
-
Away win.

Yeah that was away at Forest. Just your typical strong at home team (given they've beaten the top 2 last two fixtures they've played at Loftus Road) and bobbins away.
-
3-1 win.
Samba, Davis x2.
-
We're more miss than hit with our big players in. So I can't see us winning this. I'd love to be wrong though!
-
Should get back to winning ways against this lot. Could be a tight game, but will go for a solid 2-0 win for the Villa. Davis and Grealish.
-
I hope i'm wrong and I usually am, but this has a loss written all over it to me. Missing key players and I feel SB will go for a safety first, grab an away point type of tactics which will lead to a loss. Prove me wrong SB and play our attacking midfielders please.
-
I have an irrational dislike of QPR. I think it stems back to when I was standing on the left of the Holte in 1985, QPR scored in the 90th minute, and some of their fans were 'giving it large' just a few feet away in the very right hand side of the Trinity. I was gutted. Don't know why it stuck with me so much all these years though.
Would love to beat them. It's got DRAW written all over it though.
*I've just realised, Ian Holloway is their manager. Another reason to despise them.

Oi....less of the dissing of Ollie, one of two managers in the division who talk proper English, like wot I do ;)

I wouldn't dream of dissing the way he talks - I'm from Wiltshire. 😉
It's everything else I dislike about him.
