In there by the skin of his teeth thanks to one goal in each of the past 2 seasons.

How quickly did we switch Evans to centre-half?

In first-team terms, almost immediately.

He hasn't scored in 2017/18 yet. The derby isn't until October. All the names on that list could justifiably be considered club legends apart from that fat wanker. A catalogue of disastrous seasons and lack of fortitude on the part of the leadership of the club have led him to be in that exalted company.  Nothing more.

Do we have any stats for own goals in successive seasons? Surely Dunne and Keown would feature.

Didn't he score against Hull in the first game of the season?

Yes, think he scored from an El Mohamady ball in.

How could you forget, it was only the other week and we're hardly goal machines.

Gabbys average over those 13 seasons is less than 6 goals a season .
Shocking that he is still worshipped by so many Villa fans

I don't think I'm being greedy in expecting more than that average from a central defender.

Eric Houghton beats them all with 16 successive seasons (1930-31 to 1945-46) if you include war league years.

Apart from Benteke and Kodjia most of our strikers have struggled to get 6 goals a season in the last few years! Absolutely woeful!
