I reckon we will need more tickets than that for a Saturday game. Especially as it was midweek last year.
-
Its on the telly looking at kick off time but still imagine us selling most.
-
How many left?

Wild West here we come ha ha

Pheonix nights?
Its a definite time warp town and definitely not in a nice way.
-
Bournemouth Lions have a mini bus going to this one. At least the 5.30 KO means not such an early start for us.
-
Any advice on great pubs (real ale type pubs)? Preferably ones that won't be rammed.
-
Just purchased online. Thank God that system has improved since last season.
-
Any other ST holders having problems with the site?
-
yea me get so far then stops
-
No problems on Friday when I booked mine.
-
Link now working

The away end has been reduced by 1000 thanks to Leeds and their inability to behave.

They have not been able to behave since I first went to football. Every team that creates for itself a nationwide support seems to suffer with the same antics
-
Any updates?
-
According to Twitter 1100, according to the site <200.
I've found the site far more reliable with real time data. All four of the initial blocks are open so I cannot see where 900 seats are hiding.
-
First few rows at the front will be closed off I think.
-
The upper section of one of the blocks was only released today. The other blocks have blue dotted arouns them so by my reckoning we've sold 3300 ish.
We get another 1000 I believe in the week once these have gone. Should sell out.
-
Anyone got any their Barnsley ticket yet?

Came this morning.
-
But what about your tickets?
Seems that a portion of an upper block and now a lower block was held back from sale, so we've sold just over 3200. I'd imagine they'll take the extra 1000.

Old Nº 7 in the centre looks more than decent.

Maximum was 5600, but after Leeds kicked off it's reduced to 4600.

Agreed. Old No 7 is probably the pick of the pubs in town for ale. If you don't mind a 10 min stroll the Commercial (Summer Lane) is worth a shout. Other than that the Dove by the ground is run by the Old Mill brewery and is away fan friendly - downside being it will be rammed!

Just had to speak to the ticket office and I asked them about Barnsley. We've sold 2800 and our allocation is 6000.

On a positive note maybe if there's loads of empty seats in the away end it might stop the boneheads in our support singing that fecking "empty seats my lord" nonsense.
On second thoughts, it probably won't.
-
Not disputing the conversation, just that the ticket office are wrong as to the total volume. Sunderland sold 4100 out of a maximum 4600. Last years was 5600, which I think Leeds and Newcastle did, with issues unsurprisingly with an evening kick off involving Leeds.
One of the 3 we didn't sell out last year. Be good to better it.

Old No 7 looks nice, may well go there
-
Shut the fuck up, big mouth!

And me! I might annouce it on the whole of the internet.
-
Looks shit to me. I'm gonna go the pub nearest the station. It'll be rammed full of Villa, be great in there.
-
I'll recommended it to the NW Villa, think Ecker is taking two coaches. Nice one namesake.
-
At the risk of this looking like a flounce, does anyone know the deadline for returns?
-
Hmm, I asked if you'd be joining us in Barnsley yesterday.
It's difficult not to take this personally....

It should tell you on the official site.

It's not you, it's Steve.

Eventually found it on my laptop. The Information button on the smartphone version of the site takes you to the ticket buying options rather than information.

Any Monday update? Don't think we'll trouble selling out after Saturday.
-
We would have sold out if not for Joe "I expect football to be enjoyable" C, and his ilk.
-
Anyway, looks like just 112 left, unless there are going to be more blocks made available.
-
Two more blocks will potentially be available with circa 1000 in them. Around 100 left, so 3500 going at this point.
-
3170 sold.

Someone selling two for Barnsley on Twitter:
@MattyMarshall01
Still trying to sell my 2 spare #avfc tickets for saturdays game... £25 each and I'll meet at ground with them.. #avfc fans retweet plz
-
3207 sold. Tickets available on the day.
-
If anyone is still looking I have 2 tickets spare as a couple of our lot are at a wedding.
They are concession so Under 22, theses are in the away scheme section so usually the best away seats available.
I am going so we can meet at the ground to collect. They were £22 each but as so late £25 for the 2 tickets.
Send me a message and I will PM or text my number over

Yorkshire bound via staylebridge the birth place of Geoff hurst, Huddersfield an the George founding of rugby league, Wakefield and wakey Mike and then onto Mecca Barnsley

Did the supporters who went onto the pitch after Davis' goal get thrown out? (Not judging - just curious).
Also, what a mad tumble there was when everyone was trying to climb over the front rows and barriers after that goal - hope no one was injured!

I think a few might have fainted with shock when the third goal went in.
-
Brilliant celebrations for the 3rd goal, same at Bristol City aswell. That's what it's all about.

I thought pissed up kids throwing themselves on top of one another and kicking down hoardings because we scored against Barnsley was a tad over the top.

I'd rather that than just stand there clapping like a Fulham or Reading.

I'm sick to the back teeth of watching away fans celebrate like that at Villa Park.

Don't get me wrong, the atmosphere was great on Saturday but for me, when you get kids running down the front then just piling on top of one another, it feels a bit forced.
The best celebration I've ever been in was after Lowton's goal at Stoke. The goal was so good and so unexpected. That was proper celebration.

That was a good 'un. Apart from the obvious Gabby ones at The Sty then another couple that stick out for me are Gabby at West Ham with a late winner and Young at Everton. Ended up about 4 rows away for both and had bruises for weeks.
