The M5 on the Friday before a bank holiday will be interesting.

I'll try to work from home that day, so I can drive West to east rather than north to south

If they go on sale Monday, that means I'll probably be eligible to buy at 5pm on Tuesday when I'll be on the road to Reading

I honestly think they need a long-standing fan involved with the ticketing/social media matters. It'd be the equivalent of the police getting an informer on board.

If you're able to buy them on the second day, you should have no problem getting one, even if you have to wait till the following day.

Still wish they would get them on sale a bit earlier for those of us reliant on public transport/accomodation.

I thought that, was only expecting 2500. If we lose to Reading I don't think it will sell out as a lot of people are getting fed up.

They like to arrive just in time to ensure that you only have time to go straight to the ground without having any fun.

I've ordered mine.

When tickets eventually do go on sale, the website works very well. I really like that I can choose my own seat standing location.

It's the delay in starting selling and delays in mailing that needs fixing

I've just booked two tickets and I don't meet the criteria either. I was going to get mine through the Bournemouth Lions, but when I looked, it said only 80 seats left. I'm sure this can't be true?. Anyway, it looks like another complete balls-up by the ticket office.

I don't know if I meet the criteria as I can't get the site to tell me how many away games I attended last year. I think I'm okay.

If I find out that my tickets will not be forthcoming after all then I will be demanding compensation as I've already booked a hotel.

It's still a cock-up, among a Summer of ticketing cock-ups. We have a bigger allocation this year so it should be fine. It would be very poor if non-season ticket holders end up attending while ST holders miss out.

Flying back for this one so if anyone has a spare for the away end or can't face more away misery I'll happily take the ticket off them.

Have a ticket for the home end thanks to two City ST holders that I know being on holiday but after a 5,000 mile trip would prefer some Villa gallows humour that having the piss ripped out of me by home fans like last year.

Last away game I went to was Fulham and I sat in the neutral section. The last away I booked with villa was many moons ago in fact I can't remember where.
I could have had a Bristol City ticket no questions asked and if I had my kids refs to hand they probably could have too. I feel sorry for those who go away to every game and may miss out. Am I right in saying all the best seats generally go on sale first?  Villa sort your shit out.
We are at championship level on and off the pitch.

Away scheme members get tickets allocated before its on sale.

Block 41, 40 and 39 were on sale, 38 is central and where the away schemers are and now 37 is being sold with 100 left. Blocks 36 and a tiddler in 35 to go.

General sale isn't until after 5 today, so it would seem an IT issue. They're lucky its a game like this and not one that will have sold out in a few hours like Small Heath.

Only 40 left in block 36 with just the smallest in the left hand corner to be sold. We must have sold over 3000 on the basis that block 35  has say 400 left and block 38 may get 200 returns from the away scheme.

Wouldn't that take a long time to ring all phones in Bristol or is there an Admin  for Bristol?

An admin working tirelessly on their behalf.

I'd leave now!  I live in Cheltenham and used to work in Halesowen. Any Friday after about 2:30 was a nightmare never mind a bank holiday one.  I suppose the 4 lanes might help a bit now south of the M42.

All gone now. Our last few league away games...

Bristol City (Friday night): 3,635 sold
Reading (midweek): 3,900 sold
Cardiff: 4,800 sold
Blackburn: 6,200 sold
Fulham: 3,849 (plus various neutral end) sold
Burton: however many they gave us sold
Wigan: 5,000 sold
Huddersfield (midweek): all 2,000 tickets sold.

Just ridiculous support.

At Burton there was a good 100-150 in their end all together, while the vast majority of the Putney End was Villa, for an early Sky Sunday kick off.

The away support is the fantastic.

Fulham was early Sky Bank Holiday Monday, IIRC. But the point remains valid.

Bristol City reported it as 3106. Can't see how there were 500+ empty seats in that away end?

There were no tickets left so it was 3,635 unless 500 who bought tickets didn't turn up.
