Title: Printed Banner For Lower North Stand
Post by: ACVilla on April 19, 2017, 03:23:19 PM: We are in negotiations to supply a printed banner to go across the hoardings behind the goal on the lower North Stand like the current "Shaw, Williams..........Peter Withe" banner. The current slogan that has been given to us is:

"Believe in yourself and you will be unstoppable" or "Believe in yourself, you will be unstoppable"

Suggestions please?

Probably about as close as a homage to the great man adorning one of the stands as we're likely to get too.

The other slogans sound absolutely abysmal.

If we have to have one, I'd rather it was something that actually resonates with our club. Even something as simple as "The Bells Are Ringing For Claret and Blue" or "We Are The Famous Holte End".

My suggestion would be to vehemently encourage this not to happen. It reminds me of those inspirational sayings people have stencilled in their homes in gold paint. "Together we are a family" type of trite rubbish. Shall we change our kit to beige? Paint the seats magnolia?

Is that a quote made by someone connected to the club? If not it's a generic team building speak line that applies equally to the away team as the home one.

Maybe something like 'a team of Lions is a Pride of Lions'

Something football and lion related similar to the current promotional slogan could work...

...alternatively, a list of our honours but that would just be a reminder of how crap we've been this century.

Arsenal have a record of all of their trophies round their ground I think, or maybe just league titles? They always did at Highbury and now at The Emirates if you look around. They haven't got any mention of a European Cup though.

That's fans though. I'd be happy to see one long banner listing our major titles with the European cup being the top one. Manyoo do that. It's just the commentary describing the move for Withies goal that seems so cringy to me. Maybe it's just me.

I think Villa are waiting until we are back in the Premier before making the changes
