It's been too long without Aston Villa footballing action. Can we keep up the good form? Can we keep a clean sheet?
I think not. 3-1 to the mighty Villa: I never doubted you.
-
I think we'll do 'em.
3-0
Goals and a clean sheet.
-
5-0 home win
JK to score 4 of them
-

Agreed. I think the only positive this season being in the Championship is the number of games we have.
-
We're going to pluck 'em. Villa 3 Naaaarich 0.
-
I reckon 2-0 Villa.
-
Pluck the pluckers.
-
Is Gabby fit for this game? Using the word *fit* in the widest possible sense.
If he plays he will score. Naaarch hate him as much as we do.
-
3rd Minute applause for Charlie Round, he died on Friday. Such sad news.
-
3-2. Entertaining, open game
-
I think we will win and end the season scoring a few more whilst sneaking up on the teams in the playoff picture and spending some time thinking of what might have been had it not been for 2 shocking runs.
-
If they're still manager-less we'll win 3-1. If they get a new manager in before the weekend we'll draw 2-2. The sad news about Charlie Round really puts things in perspective though
-
Taint gonna happen but wouldnt it be great if Kodg could score the 5 goals he needs to reach 20, in one game?
-

Oh yes. But still, for the first time in a long time we should be looking to the new season with confidence.
-
I had a fiver on us to be promoted at 200-1. Away win.
-
Don't fix radiators and don't make bets Mr Earring. Please.

Haha! You make a good case, Mr G.

That's what a Norwich supporting colleague texted me to say when he saw Gabby in our starting line up at Carrow Road in December. I replied that was a different Gabby that always scored against them and he really need not worry about Gabby today.
I think he touched the ball about 5 times all game (although our whole team was pathetic that night, not just fat boy).
-
Am coming up for this one, seen five wins and just one defeat. What the hell, 2-1 Villa.
-
Haven't got the stats at hand, but we've not been very good in games after international breaks in recent years have we? Time to put a stop to that on Saturday. Six points from Saturday and Tuesday along with a couple of slip ups from teams above us and things might look a bit different.
-
We've not been very good in many games in recent years full stop. i don't think we can look at the international break as some sort of schism on our path to World domination. For international break also read *Live on sky*, *Monday night games*, *Sunday games*, *3 o'clock Saturday Games*, *home games*, *away games* *All other games that I've missed*
-
That's a fair point Peter!
-
Never liked them ever since the John Bond days.
Also they are geographically way off the rest of the domestic football map and should eff off and play in the Dutch league.
3-0 to us. Lets be 'avin them !
-
2-0 villa
-
Hopefully the recent good run can continue - 2-1 Villa
-
2-0 please
-
I'd be "ok" with 2-0, but think it will be an edgy 1-0 to us. Norwich aren't a push-over, despite some heavy defeats this season.
Also the missus is a Norwich fan, so I'll take the win whatever way it comes.
-
The worry for me will be too many of our wounded being fit and Brucie trying to change it around and it returning to a tactically lacking mish mash
Keep basically the same side that finished at Wigan
-
Really looking forward to this game.
Villa 3 Norwich 1
-
Score draw for me.
-
Somebody's due a pasting...... 1-0 Villa.
-
2-0
-
That's a fair point Peter!
Definitely one of his best, non-niggly posts.
-
Draw or lose and I'll treat this season as a sharpener for the crucial forthcoming season. Win and I'll start getting silly notions in my little head.
-
A good test for our new found form. I think a hard fought 1-1 but as ever with Villa anything is possible.
-
We could have done without the international break, we really had some impetus before it.
This will be a good test to see if we really are turning a corner.
2-0 Villa
-

This. Hope returning players have to earn places and recent formations don't go out the window
-
We've got to win all eight remaining games to sneak into the play offs and Sheff.Wed. and Fulham have to keep losing so, 1-0 Villa.
-
We'll fuck the inbred fucking fuckers 1-0.
-
2-1 villa
-
Another low scoring srappy win to nil, those above dropping more points.
Believe!
-
3-0
-
Norwich to boost their promotion chances. 1-2.
-
Destroy them villa... 2-0
-
I'll go for an entertaining Desmond (2-2)
-
If Cantscorino can find his shooting boots, we might take it to the last game of the season.
3-1.
-
Will Delia C.B.E. be there?
-
Will Delia C.B.E. be there?
Stephen Fry will be doing a live QI in The Holte pre match and Ed Balls will be dancing on the pitch at half time.
-
two very good reasons not to attend
-
1-1 with Derek Mountfield to score at both ends
-
Will Delia C.B.E. be there?
She'll be working in the burger van opposite the Holte.

I saw Ed Balls last time Norwich were here

Hope you laughed at him

So is there any injury updates on our walking wounded?
Another weeks prep for Hogan will be good, surely Angela is raring to go after a 2 week layoff?
Is Nathan madeofglass Baker fit?

Surely you mean Bakenbauer?

Will the latter 'ead balls as he dances?
ps I've gone for the 'score draw' option as-per'. Y'all can thank me later.

With the news that Grealish is fit I think I'd bring him in on the left and push Amavi to left back so we can bring Taylor out of the spotlight. With Baker fit he comes in and Jedi goes back to midfield.

I have started calling him that at games and I like that others seem to have had the same idea on here. That cultured left boot of his...

Who's playing where in that midfield? A winger and 3 players who are very central seems like it'd be tough to balance.

You'd be reliant upon Hourihane and Kodjia being fairly fluid in the positions they take up for the balance to be struck.

I agree, I just can't imagine us setting up that way, that's why I asked.
-
They're slow as anything so I'd start Green, push Hourihane up and keep Hulk on the bench.

If Green is fit enough I agree.
-
Terrible timing but I think I've got Gastroentiritis. It's been coming out of both ends. Still hoping to go as I'm feeling a bit better than I did earlier but it's looking dodgy at the moment.
-
Anyone ever had a photo printed in the family pages of the programme? I sent them a photo of my son in Villa kit and a bit of info about me not long after the Weds game hoping it will l feature in an upcoming home game programme, not heard back. Do they usually just print the column without telling you or would i have had notification if they were going to?
-
I was going to say I just can't see us losing to a team managed by Alan Irvine. I then remembered WBA beat us in December 2014 and they then sacked him two weeks later.
We tend to do well against the better teams in this league at home. Norwich like us have underachieved this season as they should be top 6 with their squad but the mentality hasn't been right for large parts of the season so they look likely to miss out.
1-1 and a comfortable win on Tuesday. Not enough for top 6 but keeps the feelgood factor running at least.
-
Never liked the pigeons since John Bond's day so will go for a 5-1 win. The 1 is only due to the Villa due to concede a goal.
-
Off to work then heading to B6 later. Looking forward to this one. A win today and on Tuesday, a few teams above us falter and who knows.
-
0-0 today gives us W13 L13 D13 F39 A39 P39 allegedly. Don't blame me if I am being Fooled.

You're not wrong Brian - and other results could conspire to put us 13th in the table!
-
I'm hoping for a win - 2-1. Rather than bore them to death in the first half I'd prefer to see us attack them straight away. We're beginning to gel.
-
Hopefully Barnsley will draw or beat Sheffield Wednesday and we can win with a bigger goal margin, climb a spot in the table and close the gap with 6th.

Lovin your optimism. I like the look of the lineup. 3-1 villa
