Title: Anyone going to Chelsea want to be my saviour?
Post by: Slaphead on December 30, 2010, 01:22:19 PM
Just trying to book tickets for Chelsea but they won't let me pick up tickets from Stamford Bridge, only from Villa Pak. I moved to Brighton last summer and the other people I am going with are traveling from Torquay so there is no way I can pick up tickets from the ground.

I just wondered if any samaritan who is yet to pick up their tickets would like to earn themselves a few drinks by picking up mine as well.

Cheeky to ask but it would be much appreciated.

On another note it's a bit pants that the only way to go to this game is by having to pick up tickets from Villa Park! Where is the general when you need a good rant.

Ring Nicola Keye if you have no luck, i'm sure she'll sort something out for you.

That's a point, how I get in contact with her? THe lady at the ticket office said there was nothing they could do and would not budge.

Judging by how much they're bloody costing, i'd imagine there will be some on sale on the day. Maybe it would have been worth waiting and buying them there.

None will be sold on the day according to the website and the ticket office lady even though this will not sell out.

Me and the boy live near Brighton too and the very reason we're not going is because the club can't get tickets to us in time. It's not as if the club are selling out the out away ends each game.

Well they said they can't arrange special delivery and suggested I get someone to pick them up and get them sent myself. Now it's too late to get them sent to arrive tomorrow, anyone that delivers new years day?

You gave me inspiration so I tried... but it didn't work, they won't do special delivery at all.

Phoned Chelsea, they told me to buy the tickets from Villa then get Villa to contact them through email or phone call and they will be able to accomodate the request. Quite a nice guy actualy, spoke for about 10 mins regarding Villa and Chelsea's form, didn't like his MON praise though.

Phoned Villa after but they said it was too late and they are closing so I have to ring back tomorrow. As I am working, my girlfriend will have the dubious task of sorting it out. On her head it is.

haven't the officials on the coaches helped out in the past by taking tickets to away games with them for others to collect? why can't they do that?

If she can't sort it, you must dump her. By text.

I would never dump a girl by text, I'd get my mate to do it for me.

We wonder why our attendence has been poor, it's a nightmare to buy a bloody ticket!

Well after a lot of hassel I managed to get tickets. Phoned up Villa, brought tickets then told them I can't get them from Villa Park. Explained that Chelsea are happy for us to pick them up from their stadium which Villa were not happy about at all, after a lot of complaining they decided they will actualy try and communicate with them. They took my number and then called me back saying it's all ok and I can pick them up from Chelsea.

If I gave up right away I would not be going to this match so after a bit of hard work I can now go thanks to Chelsea being helpful and friendly on the phone.

Pretty disapointed with Villa on this one, didn't seem to want to make any effot to accomodate us. It's a shame other Villa fans are not able to go to this match because Villa could not be bothered.
