Not a Holte Ender by any means, in fact he pretty much hated football, although he did once travel on the Darlaston Town team bus to an FA Cup match at Hereford.
But he was my best mate and I loved him.

Very sorry to hear that news Dave. Having lost my Dad too (a non-Villan also), I know how it feels.
He's now an HolteEnder in the Sky by association. That's good enough for me.
Condolences to you and your family.

I ummed and arred about even mentioning it but as daft as it sounds a lot of you lot, despite the fact that I've not even met most of you, well your like the blokes down the pub. Great mates, and I just felt like telling you.

I know exactly what you mean Dave. Gerrus another pint and sit down ya daft bugger.

I don't know what you're going through but I can imagine it must really hurt. If the internet had an arm I'd put it around you.
-
Sincere condolences to you Dave.

I had the privilege of knowing Dave's dad. He was a good man; you only have to meet his son to realise that.

Heartfelt condolences, Dave.

Sorry to hear your news. I lost my father 23 years ago and as time goes by you only tend to remember all the happy memories (not that there were many sad memories) but even now he can make me smile and still inspire me.
Life is never quite the same but it still goes on.
-
Sorry for your loss, Dave.

Thank you everyone for your kind words. I did wonder whether I should have posted anything at all, but you know, you lot are like a virtual version of blokes down the pub, and I've told all the blokes down the pub!
Funeral is on Thursday, should be able to get back to some sort of normality after that.

Take care, my deepest sympathys .

I don't like this forum and very rarely visit and I think its because I hate this type of thing. I know that losing my dad, nd best mate, will be unbearable when it happens.
Truly sympathetic and sorry for your loss. I hope thata month or so on you're starting to see the light again.
Sorry this all sounds like rubbish. Good luck to you and your family over the months ahead until the pain and loss are easier to bear.

Embarrased that I've only just come across this thread - sorry to hear about your Dad and I hope everything is ok with you and your family.
